Another Awesome Video Coach…I have to completely Agree With You…. I have three bulging disc and a right sciatica, so yeah I have a little bit of of a back issues to say the least….lol… one of the smartest things that I have done after purchasing my last bike was to get a professional bike fit, thanks to that believe it or not riding my bike is the best therapy for my back issues Thanks again Coach for another awesome video

Gosh the this is the first time I've heard an expert say something I thought was a bit weird (but in a good way) about me and my bike. I have said to people, "My backs a bit sore, I think I need to go for a ride", and they think I'm crazy but now this guys confirmed that, "...cycling is actually good for your back." Happy days.

It's true mate.. I have a problem with my low back pain for several years..( do to my obesity... 102 kg before) cycling regularly about 2 years until now.. Not only losing weight ( 74 kg now ). But also my back problem is solve... 😉... And bike fitting is a key.. Trough pain, trial end eror.. For me, pain is a signal that my position isn't good enough.. Then i trial to change a little bit my set up until i'm fell it's good.. It's need time... Just enjoy it... 😂🙏

Very good. Definitely have to rewatch a few times to get a propper standing with my fatiguing arms. At the moment I think I'm piss weak in the core. It might be a combo of many things, though. Thumbs up

Bar width - Chris Horner was an exception to the rule. He rode a very upright 'H2' frame (vs everyone else on a H1) with 44 bar width (his height 1.78m, 64kg), but like all climbers he was very light above the waist. Winner of the Vuelta a España and the oldest to win a Grand tour...

I am 5'6 (167cm) and my first bike was Scott Speedster size 52. It always felt a bit too large. Since then, I switched to size 50 and XS on 2 other bikes and they are the right fit, but still feel like they could be smaller without a problem.

Really laughed at the scud mag reference😂😂 I got a new bike 15 years ago and it's never been comfortable. I'm 5 7 with a 31.5 inside leg and got 54cm specialised allez elite. I feel its too long ant handle bars too wide. Ended up with my friends dad old Raleigh that's a M frame but the stem is so much shorter and handle bars are a 38cm . It's so comfortable in comparison

handlebar width tis the easiest element of bike fit. It appears that bike manufactures purchased lots of stock of 42 and 44 cm handlebars.

@@paulwebster4499 think that was my biggest problem. I shortened stem to 80 but after hearing this I should have opted for 60 and definitely got new bars.

Hello Coach, What is your opinion to use the kind of rule "you must not see the front hub since it is behind the handlebar if sit in the saddle" to choose frame size?

I tend to avoid such a position as it increases the load on the front wheel contact point and can make twitchy at high speed. However as long as you are aware of this and can ride at speed (eg downhill) with soft front loading etc then you should be ok - the most important thing is being able to ride safely 👍👍👍

Hello Coach, Firstly, I've seen many you tube videos about zone 2, health, vo2 etc. Your content by far I have found most helpful, simple messages without all the spin and most entertaining. Great work. I do have a question in relation to the medical condition PCOS. My partner has said that she has been advised away from zone 2 cardio type of training or above. I keep thinking that surely zone 2 is healthy for everyone, isn't it? Do you have any ideas or opinions?

I'm 6ft ride a 56cm, I have a inline seat post with the saddle as far back on rails as possible, and still feel weight on my hands, alway thought saddle further forward loads hands more? But saddle isn't super high it's slightly lower

Thanks for sharing! There could be issues with your stack height being too low - watch out for a series of videos that I am planning to share over the next few weeks that will cover this issue

Shorter cranks - I've used 172.5 cranks for a long time and felt like my pedal stroke wasn't as smooth as it could be and my hamstring and glutes never felt used as much as my quads. 165 cranks feel smoother but hamstrings and glutes wear out and become the limiters. Is it that 165 is bad or should I swap cranks to slowly get used to 165? Thanks

hey, a beginner here😊, question about where to actually sit on the saddle, its confusing, i see you use that pelvis for examples and it looks to me that you don't realy sit the seatbone on the wide part of the saddle, it's like you actually sitting it by the perineum, when everywhere in the internet says otherwise, i'm sorry to sound stupid, 😂

You normally measure from high up in groin (between legs) using something straight like spirit level. I have other videos that go through this - how to set saddle height

Back again for a second comment, HOLA from Spain and still a great video. OK I picked up on the comment about the knee to the pedal spindle which reminded me of another bike fit person on KZbin not a male and puts a plum line from the front of the knee to the pedal spindle. I use the mummy arms thing for length, but it was just the lack of power through my pedals which I've been and fettled with ( seat higher and forward )🤏🤞

I wouldn’t rely on the plum line from front of knee - use end of femur 🦴 👍👍👍

@KineticCoach that's why I moved my saddle up and forward and today beat my measured hill time by over 2 minutes 🤙way to go ( that's 12.5km, with 600m elevation gain )
