Hi, CB and CG! Thank you for the pineapple tips 'n' tricks. When I was a kid, my Mom and her friends had a weekly mah jongg game. Coffee, cake and other nosh was part of the ritual. When it was her turn to host, Mom always included a fresh pineapple in the feast. I was convinced there was a rule that you couldn't play mah jongg without a pineapple.

Sounds like a very good rule ...and no games without coffee and cake, too

Just bough a pineapple 🍍 from Sam's the other day. Wonderful advice to store them sideways. Have a lovely weekend.

nowadays you can pretty much find any fruit or veggie almost any time of the year, but the freshest peak pineapple season is around April to July (I've read)

Loved the Pineapple Science of redistribution of sugar, placing it sideways, and how to plant pineapple trees. I gotta try the German toast dish! I never put a pineapple slice in a sandwich but did eat a dish call double roti in India where they do add small pieces of pineapple and pomegranate seeds to it. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom, Chef Buck and CG! Have a great Sunday and an awesome week ahead

Said to wife: "I feel like a pineapple". Then she started rubbing my head, thought she was amorous, then felt pain, said: "what are you doing"? She said: "picking a pineapple".
