Hi. I wanted to thank you for making me a better rabbit owner. I used to have five bunnies. I know a lot. I recently had to get rid of four because it was to much for me to handle with my horse and all my other pets. Now my bunny Paris is spoiled rotten. He loves your DIY toys. I make them all the time for him. I thank you AGAIN for making me a better rabbit/bunny care taker. Sincerely, Animal_lover234

+101rabbits Thx for the ways to hold a rabbit. my class mates hold our pet bunny by the ears and when they do that the bunny screams and its so terrified.
@regand96588 жыл бұрын
+Abby G Try holding your rabbit at least once a day for a short amount of time and see if it gets used to being handled. Rabbits are ground-dwelling animals and don't liked to be picked up. Be sure to secure your rabbit properly so that it feels more comfortable wit you holding it. This will take time, but just be sure to be consistent. The more time you spend with the rabbit the easier it is on you and your rabbit. Hope this helped. :)

Most bunnies do not like being picked up but not all. Some bunnies enjoy being snuggled but these bunnies have most likely been socialized at a young age. It all depends on the bun but id say about 85% of buns do not like being picked up or have learned to tolerate it
@evieleigh13457 жыл бұрын
Some rabbits will tolerate it, but it reminds them of being picked up/carried off by a predator. Could break some trust,but if they like it then you are extremely lucky and yeah, you can do it.

It's quite easy. Grab some pet nail clippers and gently pull the fur back away from the nails. From here, chop them gently but do NOT cut the red bit. It is where blood is stored, puts your rabbit in pain AND could even cause them to bleed! For more info on how to trim a rabbits nails, yeah, I'm pretty sure that this channel does have info on it.

@BobbyHobby107 жыл бұрын
Savage EquineXD if you mean the rabbit it’s on the back, they often really scared in that pose but if he’s licking/ giving you kisses in that form then that’s no problem. Many mistake rabbit being calmed on the back when they often go into shock, trance and really scared. Some signs will often show if they are scared, can he move normal and flip back if he want, eating a treat and giving kisses then the rabbit aren’t stressed ( I use it to see if my rabbit it’s scared or not). If he aren’t on his back that’s no problem.

Hi, I just got a new rabbit so that mine wouldn't be lonely when I'm not home as much, but i'm a bit confused by their behaviors. I read that if both rabbits can lay next to each other, bath each other, and eat together, that they are pretty much bonded. However, there's also been a lot of chasing (NO biting or scratching) just one runs up to the other and the other runs as if they were scared, and then suddenly will lay next to each other again and be calm. Is the chasing a bad sign? if so, why does it seem like they do bond at times? BTW, they are both females. Please give me tips =)
@reganparrish9869 жыл бұрын
I have a rabbit also and have had experience with 2 bonded rabbits, the chasing is probably just a game, my old rabbits would always chase each other as a game and not to be mean, but I am not a professional so if I were you I would probably consult another person just to be sure

When I had a rabbit we picked it up every single day to get it out of her cage so she can run around outside it. But that rabbit was also a very cuddly rabbit. She loved to be petted by someones foot and she just stayed there for hours, I literally mean hours which is why we used our foot. If I played videogames she was below being petted. She was a strange, but lovely rabbit.

Thank you for this video! I agree with how you pick up your rabbit, hold it, and how you set it down. The only thing I would disagree with is holding it a couple times a week. For some rabbits, it is really hard to hold them, so that would be fine to hold them not as much. But, with my lionhead rabbit, he loves to hop onto my lap and play with me. I would say that after having your rabbit for a month or two and trying to hold it every day, and it still hates you, then you should try to hold him maybe every other day. That's just my opinion.
