I was listening to him the morning He died. If only I had known what was to come when I got home. Eddie will always be remembered as one of the greatest and most innovative guitarists to ever exist. Atleast I shared this earth with him for 15 years. Love you Eddie lodewick Van Halen. Have fun in heaven shredding with your favorite musician, your father. R.I.P ❤️❤️

Glad you showed how to use the pedal and for which part! Would love to see the first 4 Van Halen LP's each song broken down what pedals are used and what part for each song, I know it's a huge project but it would be cool and and idea for you channel.

Very good however, it is amazing the amount of good players on youtube who have so many bad habits when playing the guitar. At 4:07, you should be using your ring finger instead of your middle finger. It does make a difference for speed in other areas of playing. I did see below that you have never had a formal lesson. Great job.

Your tone is almost like Eddie's, and surprisingly I don't think your technique is the problem (like it is with most people). You seem to be using the right dynamics and timing. What kind of flanger are you using? Or it may be that you don't have enough overdrive or gain. When Eddie played this live the sound was SO overdriven. Nice vid though.

I've listened to the actual recording several times today and in the actual recording and Eddie does not go 3rd fret, 2nd fret and back to 3rd fret on the unmuted notes at the end of the intro part. He plays 3rd then 2nd then mutes and goes directly back into the next round.
