I gotta say this is the best instructional video out there. Not only for this song but for any song. I think you have come such a long way from your earlier vids. You cover everything in this tutorial regarding Aint Talking About Love. Your lesson is so very well laid out. It is methodic, just the right speed and you go over every facet of this song w great detail and shared knowledge. Just want to commend you on your work. Ive seen other videos where the instructors actually talk down to their audience. Maybe its teaching by sarcasm I don't know. But not you. You teach music like you're a best friend. Can't say enough good things about your lesson and cool, friendly style. Keep rockin 🎸

That is the wonderful thing about many of Eddie's tunes - he took some very basic core ideas and crafted a catchy backing track. His composition of rhythm parts for his songs goes largely overlook in favor of his solos. This song is a prime example of doing something almost completely in first fret position - where every guitar player starts out. And it still a crowd favorite to this day. thanks for the great video.!!!
@IGarrettI3 жыл бұрын
Precisely! First time hearing him I was blown away. In this example I did recognise the A minor chord, but then I was surprised how he turned it into something I haven't heard yet. And that's very hard to do!

Nailed that intro tone Brett. Very few lessons or covers have done that on YT. That actual VH isolated track intro is the gold standard on how good a plug in or stand alone (like Amplitube/tonex) or modeling amp is. Very few products that try to mimic that intro tone, are able to pull it off. You proved you still need a real amp to achieve identical tone. Not even axe-fx and all it's clones out there are able to match it. Great video.🔥

And this is why I love youtube for learning riffs... a lot of the other lessons I've seen for this song use awkward fingering for the Am to Fm to G transition at the beginning (disregarding the tuning). Your way of doing this both sounds better and looks/feels less awkward. Same thing for the little Fill on the B string. I've seen a lot who do that on the G string which puts you further from getting back to the Am position. Immediately subscribed, and you'll be one of my first stops when looking to learn a song. Keep up the awesome work.

for my money, coolest ending ever. I learned the chord at 26:27 from the "certified" TAB with the index finger dropped one fret & last chord at 26:33 without the pinky fretting any note & sliding into it while bringing the bar up from the dive then sliding down fast after hitting it. Both almost make the tinnitus worth it.

Hi Brett, watching all of your videos since quite a while. Inspired me a lot as a guitar re-starter. I appreciate the professionality how you nail the songs. Not only technical wise but also sound wise. Let notes ring even not involved in riffs. That's what sounds really awesome. Let me allow to raise one wish. If you ever heard D.A.D, a Danish band, great musicians since 80s. They have a song " a prayer for the loud “ what is a real a cool tune! Im sure you love it. If you could make a lesson out of it would be very cool. Best regards, Hermann
