My favorite thing about listening to the original with headphones on is the way Page mixed it so it travels around your head in an almost circular motion...Page is such a wizard at mixing sounds. Thanks for the breakdown of such a brilliant piece of music.

Brilliant playing of a brilliant tune! My favorite solo acoustic tune - ever. I bought the vinyl when it 1st came out in 1975 and played this tune 100s of time. It puzzled me to no end as to how Page played it till I found out the actual tuning. I eventually played it well enough but this version here is spot on and simply perfection. Well done, Sir!

My favorite acoustic song of all time, by any artist. I could listen to it on a loop for hours on end and never get tired of it. I fell in love with it as a teenager in the 80s.
@nickh340321 күн бұрын
I've played this about 10 or so times in a row and I think I could play it for an hour and not get tired of it. Such a beautifull song and like so many of Page's songs around this time in a variety of odd tunings. I don't think any else came even close to that level of exploration in that area. Shut up and play indeed!

I’m trying to re-learn this following your lesson. I’ve been playing in the correct tuning but not the correct picking patterns for years and it’s so difficult to play it correctly, especially as I have a milder form of Tourette’s that means my hands and arms are tense and unable to relax and it causes me to shake so it’s a challenge but I’ll get there eventually.

I actually like the way you play it better than Page... mainly because your playing is so clean and Page had some effects going on which really are not necessary. It's a beautiful song that doesn't need all the crazy panning, echoplex or whatever he had going on. Just so nice to hear a pure and clean version ... thank you..!

Yep thats it but at times it sounded like another guitar was playing. Important factor: at the end I believe the picking style changes. It sounds like Jimmy’s doing triplets in his picking. I didnt see that in your picking nor did I hear it. But overall that was very cool
