I play a similar, but not exact version of this. In our games we go 4 rounds, 4 through seven is worth 5 points while 8 through king is worth 10, there’s no wild pile, you don’t switch card piles, the hand has 13 cards, you need 2 dirty books and one clean book to go out, you can only a maximum of 2 wilds per dirty meld, round one only requires 50 to open, and a black 3 is only -5 points but the red 3 is -500.

I started playing at my local Senior Center. I am a fan of poker, but Hand & Foot w/ 6 decks of cards? Drove me/us nuts, but w/ 2 tables of 6 women & me. I endured!!We call shuffling cards "washing the decks". With all the neuropathy that age brings on, it can be quite a chore. I/we play twice/week & I love it

Wow.....I learned to play it at s senior center too.... Have 1 deck of cards than players(6 players, 7 decks)....red 3 = -500 points, black 3 =5 points( you can't spread with them....if you get caught with any - 5 )..if you pull 22 cards, you say 11-11 & earn 100 points....you can meld regular cards and wild (no more than 3 wild cards) We have lots of fun....the last time I was the score keeping and kept messing up the score....they called it pencil whipping😊😊😊😊 it is a fun game to play....we've had as many as 9 players, but had to use 2 tables because it was a but too much....

Great explanation. I have played this game for many years. In my community its harder to find people that want to play anymore. Even at the senior center. I prefer this game over regular Canasta any day. One thing that you didn't mention was the ability to play on your partner's cards. Or is this something we added?

I believe that what you did when you picked up your foot was wrong. You can only pick up the foot and and continue to play if you cleared your hand without discarding. If you clear your hand by discarding, then you can pick up your foot but your turn is done.

We've always talked about a wild card "book" 2,500 seems pretty high. Does anyone else's family regularly cheat? That's half the fun! We play needing 2 each of clean and dirty books to go out and you have to discard. The discard (can't be wild) can cause problems

Discard a wild turn it sideways. Next player can't pick up pill of 8 as if you Discard a 3. Although the pill is still frozen and has to be picked up by a pair till the wild has been removed. Then a card + wild can pick up 8

No. It says in the description where the link is the last day was in July 2017. You might be able to find them somewhere else or make your own on one of the sites that you can design your own tshirts, mugs etc.. try googling it.

Wait the first round to open is 50 points, 2nd round 90 points 3rd round 120 and 4th round 150. Look at the rule book. You are incorrect on the number of points needed to open the first hand. I've played this game for 15 years

I think like any card game that's been around for a long time, there are many variations to the point-keeping. My family is a Pinochle family and I have come across a million different ways to play and keep score - so feel free to keep playing however you like!
