George Harrison was a genius, ahead of his time. As you say, a simple tune but brilliantly put together. You are just an awesome teacher, and there’s no one better on KZbin.

good lesson.he shows how it's actually played. its always better to play the chords and melodies like the song and slow it down instead of calling every note out like." play bflat note on the 1st fret 5th string, g note 5th fret on the 4th string," etc... makes it harder to follow that way.

As far as Im concerned, this is the most beautiful thing George Harrison ever played. Listening to this tune/song almost brings tears to my eyes. I feel my soul expanding. Thank you, George, for leaving us this. And thank you, sir, for showing us how to play it. Listening to it over and over is great ! BTW, your guitar is absolutely gorgeous. I love the wood and the nice natural matt finish. The sound, too, is delicious.

I Love your lessons. Finally I have found a teacher who assumes the student can actually play. I can't stand lessons that stuff around with finger and frets for every note !! You talk about the music !! Chords, Notes, Rhythm, and most importantly start it off with the overview of the structure. And to top it off you really know the songs !! Thank you ..thankyou !!

1. You put the guitar at the center of the screen and not your face like the other self-satisfying 'tards 2. You started the video with a demonstration of yourself playing the song exactly the way George did 3. You don't waste my time Subscribed, liked, and shared. If I had money, I'd donate. Late to the party but I just recently discovered your work. This song has given me troubles because I fell into the bad habit if playing it wrong. This video is helping me to repair decades of damage. My problem was the actual notes in the right places. I sounded okay and it was recognizable but I knew it was wrong. This and Angie lol. Total thumbs up. I read your comment about a thumbs down bumming you out. I look at it as a thumbs down with no constructive explanation is meaningless. Who knows the reason or intent. Some folks lead a thumbs down kinda life. This is the best tut of this song I've seen, thanks.

That's I think the biggest mistake beginners make: making wrong assumptions as to how quickly one should learn something. There I sat, frustrated after practicing Chick Corea's Spain for an hour or so, because I couldn't get it right. Next guitar lesson I talked to my teacher about it, and he went "Oh I needed a month or so to learn it." That Satriani solo? Yep, couple of weeks. I know your comment is two years old, but this goes for all beginners. Take your time. And practice slowly, that's how new connections are formed in the brain. Your brain has to learn it correctly to speed it up.

OK, this was brilliant. There are great musicians that are out there giving lessons. Your lesson by far (at least on this song) was superior. You managed to capture and simplify the nuances of this great song. The Beatles had something that, in my opinion has not been equaled. What you have done is to bring playing a great song so much closer to the general guitarist. I thank you very much.

A really in-depth but unpretentious lesson. The video clips at the beginning showed you how to play it anyway so the verbal instruction was a bonus. As a note of interest I think George Harrison liked variations around a descending D chord shape - another example would be Norwegian Wood. I'm quite an experienced player but you did help especially with the turn arounds and it was nice to have some of my working out confirmed too.

yeah. GREAT song GREAT tutorial. After 8 months of crappy weather and you've had enough freaking rain, the first nice day of the year you turn on the radio and hear that intro. WOW. Instantly your launched into summer and a bright outlook. This year the the weather turnaround just happened to be the first day of summer. Of all days. If you have vinal or a cd might as well just let it play into the medley. Timeless. Thanks for the tutorial, appreciate it

Fantastic tutorial! Took me a week of solid practice, but I finally got it down. Now it's just a matter of playing the hell out of the song through the winter, until the sun finally comes back and George Harrison stops spinning in his grave.

Far to often people start talking and just do not shut up : / but you... you... I can just see you play it and figure it out for myself, and when i can't manage i can always look up the rest of the video, all at my own pace, thank you so much!
