George Harrison was a genius, ahead of his time. As you say, a simple tune but brilliantly put together. You are just an awesome teacher, and there’s no one better on KZbin.
@mariai95494 жыл бұрын
good lesson.he shows how it's actually played. its always better to play the chords and melodies like the song and slow it down instead of calling every note out like." play bflat note on the 1st fret 5th string, g note 5th fret on the 4th string," etc... makes it harder to follow that way.

As far as Im concerned, this is the most beautiful thing George Harrison ever played. Listening to this tune/song almost brings tears to my eyes. I feel my soul expanding. Thank you, George, for leaving us this. And thank you,sir, for showing us how to play it. Listening to it over and over is great ! BTW, your guitar is absolutely gorgeous. I love the wood and the nice natural matt finish. The sound, too, is delicious.

I Love your lessons. Finally I have found a teacher who assumes the student can actually play. I can't stand lessons that stuff around with finger and frets for every note !! Late to the party but I just recently discovered your work. This song has given me troubles because I fell into the bad habit if playing it wrong. Total thumbs up. I read your comment about a thumbs down bumming you out. I look at it as a thumbs down with no constructive explanation is meaningless. Who knows the reason or intent. That's I think the biggest mistake beginners make: making wrong assumptions as to how quickly one should learn something. There I sat, frustrated after practicing Chick Corea's Spain for an hour or so, because I couldn't get it right. Next guitar lesson I talked to my teacher about it, and he went "Oh I needed a month or so to learn it." That Satriani solo? Yep, couple of weeks. I know your comment is two years old, but this goes for all beginners. Take your time. And practice slowly, that's how new connections are formed in the brain. Your brain has to learn it correctly to speed it up.

OK, this was brilliant. There are great musicians that are out there giving lessons. Your lesson by far (at least on this song) was superior. A really in-depth but unpretentious lesson. The video clips at the beginning showed you how to play it anyway so the verbal instruction was a bonus. As a note of interest I think George Harrison liked variations around a descending D chord shape - another example would be Norwegian Wood. I'm quite an experienced player but you did help especially with the turn arounds and it was nice to have some of my working out confirmed too.
