How to Play (install) Initial D Arcade stage on Android or PC (with a slight hint of humor)

Troubleshooting:
(i recommend you also check all comments)
1) Cannot load CHD file:
I made a mistake in the video, the file which goes into initialdv3e folder is called "gds-0033.chd" hope you guys read this and it's not much of an inconvenient for you.
Remember the zip file has to be placed Inside Roms, and the CHD file goes inside a folder called the same as the zip "initdv3e", and that the chd File has to be called "gds-0033.chd".
2) Error 2 game not accepted by main board:
For people having Error 2 game not acceptable by main board, go to settings, change your region to Europe, restart the app and open the game again.
3) Bios problems:
If you get error on the bios remember to place the 2 bios files i shared inside the Data folder, if you still get this error try searching other bios on your own, i already shared mine and it should work just fine.

You're welcome ! Let's see... Well I don't know exactly why the Intro skips on its own,The most obvious answer would be that you're mistakenly pressing start during the intro, it could also be because of the graphic API (OpenGL or Vulkan), are you sure it skips automatically? Or does it play only the sound in the background? Regardless, I don't think idle skip has anything to do with that, and this is an option which will improve the framerate hugely so I recommend you turn it on. About the controls, if you want to play with touchscreen there is no way to change them unfortunately, but if you have a controller and you connect it with USB adapter you can change the controls yes. Regardless, I don't recommend playing this game with dpad because it requires smooth steering, and the only way to achieve that is to use the joystick. I recommend increasing the size like I did, to about half of the screen, you can make the controls transparent if you edit the control image with an editing software like medibang or ibis paint, and make the layer transparent as you like, then export the file as transparent PNG and replace the original.

Remembera after you click mtk-kpd You have to click at the top right corner and change "Dreamcast controls" to "arcade controls". Some phones don't have the mtk-kpd setting but on its place they have something equivalent with a different name, it works the same way. I honestly don't know why the game wouldn't recognize your volume inputs. The touchpad controls i show in the video are edited. You can open the controls file (it's an image somewhere on the flycast folder) with any drawing software and change them to your liking.

Hmmm it could be either because of the game not being placed in the right folder, or the program doesn't have access to the folder in question (like when you're in PC and folders are locked behind administrator rights) . It could also be the name of the game folder doesn't match the name of the rom launcher.

Either newer versions of flycast don't work with my bios, or you're clicking "load Dreamcast bios" instead of just running the game. Clicking "Load Dreamcast bios " never works, but you can still play the game. You should've read all the comments, because someone said that new version of flycast didn't work, while the old version on mega does.

It is explained on the video If you press the insert card button (volume up) before starting the game, it will give that error. You just have to close the app and start again.

Did you read my comment about the files' names and locations? You're most likely placing the files in the wrong folder or naming them wrong. Verify that it's the same folder displayed on fly cast settings, and check the app's permissions to see if it can access your storage

I think it's because you pressed volume up/insert card button BEFORE the game asks you to do so. Restart the app and open the game normally and you should only press vol up after pressing start in the main menu

I don't think vibration has anything to do with lag. If you have the settings like i do try lowering the resolution to 1x, turning off vsync, or just increase the sound latency

If you beat arcade each time the difficulty Will increase, represented with a star before selecting each stage. At around 7 stars it becomes super challenging, if you can't play online I recommend you try and reach as high as you can, I stopped at 7 after beating takumi

I found the little additional Trobule And Solutions for here. If some of you all having these problem. "Please Get Card" While Starting The Game - It means You Might Close/Force close The Game Before while you Race and dint Finished it Until it says "The Initial D Card will be Ejected". Solution: Head To file Where you Saved the Initial D File Undernamed FlyCastROMS (Etc). Then Data. And Then you might see inidv3dotzipdotcard file appear On Data Files. Then move/Cut to (Etc) files for while and Boot the game like useal. It will eventually Start Like normal. Then Head to file again And Move that file back to the data. And it should be work. "Card Jammed" While On "Do You Have An Initial D Card" - This Happen Commonly If you Press insert Card Very Fast. Solution: Press Down Button and Start All Together Then it should be just fine

For "please get card" error. There is no need to move the save file, the game will open normally again if you close the flycast app COMPLETELY (Most phones will still have it open even when you exit, unless you turn off your phone or do a forced stop) To do force stop: hold your finger on top of the app, tap view app info, and tap forced stop or something like that. This error will also appear if you insert card before the game asks you to do it I think I already explained this in the video... I didn't know about the other error so thank you 👍

Did you try with 1 frameskip? OpenGL is faster than Vulkan for me and shadows/fog consumes quite a lot. Also, restarting your phone every time you play any game(hold the power button) wait a bit and start the emulator. Sounds stupid, and even i couldn't believe it, but restarting the phone fixes lag to some degree, until you open too many apps, then you have to restart again

Switch between graphic settings: transparent sorting and see if any of them fixes it. You can also try switching the graphics API (OpenGL/vulkan) if it lags too much with the settings i show in the video, then you have to buy another phone, cause yours is either incompatible or not good enough to run the game

Sorry for the late reply. That's weird, why would KZbin delete your comment... Anyways, I can't tell the problem by just these numbers, does it say anything else? When are you getting the error?
