Just a friendly reminder : You can't activate your Bladesong while wearing medium or heavy armor or using a shield. Also, your Bladesong finish early if you do a weapon attack with your two hands.

BTW In case anyone is wondering, you can still Dual Wield as a Bladesinger, you just can’t use two handed weapons or the Versatile property of weapons. So if you want to take the Dual Wielder feat and have your staff in one hand and a long sword in the other like you’re Gandalf, you can. Or be a Thri-Kreen Bladesinger and use a Rapier and Shortsword and a wand at the same time

This build with light armour and Bladesong gives an AC of 17 {12 (light armour) -1 (dex) + 1 warforged bonus +5 (Int).} This isn't that high. Plate mail and shield can get you 20 (18 +2 shield -1 dex +1 Warforged ), however, you lose ALL your Bladesong benefits for 3 point of AC, and that's high cost.. In fact, on this build, this means all your Bladesinger subclass features are useless or redundant, as armour prf and extra attack can come the levels in fighter. I think Tulok missed something, as he said the AC on this build was high. edit - he did take "shield" as an EK, so that kind of patches the AC issue - haste and shield boosts the AC to 24, so long as your spell slots don't run out, and he doesn't lose concentration on haste

Hell yeah. I’ve been waiting for this one since the Danny Phantom video. My Life was my favorite show as a kid, even though I didn’t really understand what was going on like 80% of the time. Question for my fellow D&D nerds! (And spoilers for the video) So, if you were to multiclass Eldritch Knight and Bladesinger, you would inevitably get spell slots higher than what you can usually cast. HOWEVER. Wizards have a feature where they can copy spells into their spell book if the spell is one of a level spell slot you have. Does this mean that with the right resources, you could hypothetically get higher-level spells like Steel Wind Strike and Cone of Cold?

Easy solution to your question would to just look up a caster multiclass calculator to figure out what slots you have and then just remember that if you're grabbing spells from a level up (for example wizard giving 2 spells every level past 1st) then you'd grab spells from that class' list raw and you'd have to get dm permission if you want to treat it like if the spell lists were merged together (which honestly is fine since it wouldn't break the game or anything and could make for an interesting pseudo custom class you put together based on the spells you take)

Personally I think I would've swapped out wizard for Artificer, probably the armorer subclass, but thats just me personally. Not sure if it would work better but I think the automatic getting of magic items and individual armor pieces would help do some stuff that would ordinarily take spell slots. So for instance instead of needing to cast a flying spell you could just get winged boots, if you go the route of the infiltrator model you get hand and chest lasers, and you get use out of the armor being a part of you without too much difficulty.

Who thought that giving such power and duty to a (robot) teenager was a good idea? Even if characters like Tangle the lemur try to save the world regularly (and sometimes right, would still make for a good build Sir Tulok, please?) At least they don't have the arsenal of the whole planet inside them! Jennifer "Jenny" Wakeman, aka. XJ-9, is the state-of-the-art robotic protector of Earth, who after a long time being kept as a secret now must find a balance between her guardian role against invasions from menaces like the Cluster and maintain a good social profile among her new peers, lucky that she run on hydronium, so she never miss classes... maybe.

Fighters get the option to choose chain mail in the beginning and for this build that is an absolute MUST. Your dexterity is dumped so you need to wear heavy armor if you want to live. Also, save up your gold to get a plate for the midgame/endgame as your AC won't naturally scale. This may be obvious to some players but if you're like me and have played only stealthy little gremlins up to this point, it's a whole new world.

I love the trend of using Eldritch Knight/Bladesinger multis to represent characters who can do a bit of everything. The zappiest fighter and the stabbiest wizard. EK's magic weapon and BS' combat mode help smooth the transition at early levels, so you don't suffer too much from multiclass division, and both Fighter and Wizard get a great deal of utility at prettymuch every single level. You might not be that focused, but you should remain effective all throughout. The problem with multiclassing is that you often have to wait til mid/high levels before your concept is really functional, but Fighter and Wizard are both such toolkit classes that you can weave them together fairly well. With this build, you'll always be an armored robot with zappy lasers and some cool, situational devices, prettymuch no matter what level you're at.

Okay sliiiight gripe: the Eldritch Knight war magic procs only when you spend the action casting a cantrip, the “cast a spell” action. Bladesinger extra attack allows part of an attack action to be a cantrip. Unfortunately, they don’t stack, so just crack wizard and get higher level spells.

War Magic reads "when you use your action to cast a cantrip", not "when you take the Cast A Spell action." RAW, when you use bladesinger extra attack, you are using your action to (among other things) cast a cantrip. Letting them stack is a bit cheesy and rules-lawyery but it's not unsupported by the text.

According to the multiclassing rules, when you have Extra Attack from multiple classes, you have to pick which one to use each turn, so you could go Fighter and attack 3 times, or Bladesinger and do 1 attack and 1 cantrip, then another attack with your bonus action via War Magic.

OK, if her AC is 23 with bladesong and a shield spell up, and these are all commoners with a 0 hit modifier, they can only land an attack on a natural 20. However, 1 million is a lot, so even 5% hit rate dealing 2 damage would kill her: if she couldn't just fly. So, if she hovers 65 feet in the air, she wins
