How to play Little Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs.
The chords in the 1st section are Em G A C B7 Em B7.

My boomer band is in process of learning this song - thanks for the EZ tutorial - I'm the guitar player. It's almost and easy song, but not quite - I'm also the singer. We also play Wooly Bully.

If you count the beats 1 - 2- 3 - 4 (the chords in the song all get at least 4 beats before changing) and on the 1 and 3 beats play a bass note, and strum on beats 2 and 4 it should give you the basic feel. A bass - strum - bass - strum pattern.When you are comfortable doing that you can alternate the bass notes you play, going back and forth between the 6th and 5th strings. You can also add two quick strums instead of the single strum between bass notes. A 1 and-uh 2 and-uh type feel.

The basic pattern would be pretty much D DU D DU all the way through, with some minor variations. The first Down can be a single bass string or a strum.

Thanks for your question. The diatonic key of E minor (or it's relative major key G) does include an A minor chord. It's very common to use chords from outside the key (sometimes from the parallel key or other sources) in chord progressions.
