This is an extremely good tutorial. I'm just starting lessons but I'll be looking at your channel a lot. Thanx for the tutorial. 😃👍

Sir Modder, Your video is the best out of all the other 3, i checked.. (& i checked your's last). There are people who can play (Yes).. But not everybody who can play.. can teach TO THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW. They're good at chopping it up with those who ALREADY KNOW.. But you Sir, gave the best lesson on this.. Because you can Play it, and ALSO.. Teach it .. To those who don't know... So, Thank you kindly. Much appreciated.. i will practice & practice..

Certainly appreciate your accurate tutorials. Question..none of your videos show the song played from start to finish, only in pieces- like putting together a jigsaw puzzle and never seeing all the pieces put together and the picture it produces! As a teacher, showing the full song also pumps up the student to take the trouble to carefully copy and learn all parts of the song. Time length is also no longer an issue with youtube videos too! Hope this helps!

Hey Coen, this video alone got my subscription. I will be digging into your videoes more over the next few days. I dont play piano, I play guitar, maybe ill pick piano up one day, but if theres a song i get curious about I tend to look for help in the piano videos. They tend to be more accurate with chord voicings. This is one of the many gems from Prince's catalog, and one of my personal favorites. Theres was something special about the raw, and stripped down tracks he recorded with only a piano and you nailed this, in my opinion. I would love to hear you do a rendition or even a tutorial of the demo version of the song, "17 Days", if you could find the time to do so that is. Thank you for your videos! I will be going through them with an appreciative ear! Cheers from the Bay Area

Good tutorial, a little difficult to follow at times but with the help of playback speed and rewind I’m slowly getting it.

Piano Couture is my all time favorite music teacher to songs I already love. Coen Modder is an excelent teacher and he teaches the complete song. I just love his style of teaching.

Thank you!! I have been waiting a long time for a good version of this song and your breakdown is incredible! I was wondering if you could also breakdown a Robert Glasper song, called Trust? It’s so good but again no one out there has a solid breakdown.

This was nicely done and you tried to explain everything as easy as possible. Just one thing, you never got to the Chorus & Bridge just went to a commercial and ending. It would be nice to finish that off. It sounds like the same chords w/a couple extra which most bridges do. Hope that will happen in the future

Chasjazzz chorus is just a secondary dominant transition to the four chord, and walking up back to tonic with preceding 5, 6, and 7 chords
@JacksonPlaysMusic15 жыл бұрын
@@tomwhaley3335 That's a really complicated way of saying it, honestly. I hear it as a 4 1/3 and then a walk up to 5.
