Even then he got his sight back from the philosopher's stone.
@soysaucerb4 жыл бұрын
Rogue/fighter, I'd say. She doesn't do a whole lot of tracking, but Second Wind and Action Surge would be incredibly useful for a soldier. 100% agree on Mastermind for the other 18 levels, though.
@bastionsea28294 жыл бұрын
She only directs him to the target, he does the attack and strength (fight with Father)
@soysaucerb4 жыл бұрын
@@bastionsea2829 That's what the Help action does. It gives advantage to the attack roll- which, in this case, merely negates the disadvantage from not being able to see his target. And Masterminds are able to do so as a bonus action, so she doesn't even need to stop fighting to call targets for him.

Ok time to nerd for a second: in a weird way gaseous form does actually work for Roy Mustang, because it's Alchemy affects only the air, it does not create fire. Basically when he uses his Alchemy , he moves all of the non flammable particles in the air to a different area, and leaves only the volatile ones. The reason he does it at the same time that he creates the spark of his gloves, or creates one with a lighter, is because the air that he did move would instantly rush back in if he didn't light it up as quickly as possible. This allows him to keep both accurate control over the where the Flames go, make sure but no one else can use his own resource against him, and requires minimal effort in comparison to just making fire. ...however Roy cannot just become fog, so you are right. I just wanted to share a fun fact.
@ShawnPattonC4 жыл бұрын
It's also possible that he is transmuting water vapor into hydrogen and oxygen gas at the same time, since we see him do it to liquid water, and also because burning that stuff turns it back into water, allowing him to repeat the process without running out of atmospheric fuel.
@neilweaver23564 жыл бұрын
@@ShawnPattonC Or it's a combination of both. In the show, it states that his right glove is used for explosive area attacks, while his left is used for pinpoint accuracy. I wouldn't consider it that far off to say he transmutes water vapor into H2 and O2 for his left glove, as that seems like it'd be more precise than moving a large volume of air.

Goals for Burt - Got to be good with guns (re-skinned crossbows if need be) Has to be able to deal with graboids and their ilk, which can be under the ground, run like ugly ostriches, or glide in the air, depending on the stage of metamorphosis. Also, dealing with mixmaster mutants (from the tv series) is important too. Has to know the terrain. Must be willing to learn local languages. Must know Survival techniques. Must not be a people person. Must be quick, and decently tough - he did take on a few Shriekers in close-quarters-combat once.

It's probably worth noting that Plane Shift: Kaladesh isn't technically even Unearthed Arcana. The Plane Shift articles aren't official D&D playtest content. THAT SAID, they were written by James Wyatt, who used to work on the D&D team before moving to the MTG team. All his mechanics are pretty sound and probably as close as you can get to official without actually being official. Pyromancy is definitely the best option since it was made to represent Chandra Nalaar's skill set from MTG. I actually just made a similar build to replicate Chandra, but took the Elemental Spell metamagic from the Class Features Variants UA so I could choose interesting spells that use other elements, then convert them to fire and reflavor them. A 2-level dip into Hexblade Warlock for the short rest recharge pact spell slots and some armor proficiency is great, especiialy when the slots are used to fuel the Elemental Spell metamagic from UA more frequently. Works great for Chandra! Similar paths for different pyromantic characters.
