Great build. Difficult terrain issues aside, you mentioned flying enemies would be a bit of an issue because of lack of range options. I looked this up because I didn't know beforehand, but Earthbind is on the sorcerer spell list. Not only does it seem fairly congruent with the rest of build, but also provides an option to at least bring flying foes within fist range.

I'm thinking soldier would be at least a few levels in artificer artillerist, artificers do get the jump spell so all it needs is a little flavor and you have the rocket jump. Then again I don't know a whole lot on tf2 as a game but this is just my best guess

@@lejandario7779 Yeah, that's the one issue with my build, and why a CHA caster could make a lot of sense; he's so damn likable! I modded some Cestus like weapons to be a pair of d6 bludgeoning. At present the party are lvl 6 and it's been interesting. (This campaign began well before Tasha's was a thing and he hasn't asked for a rebuild. it's neat to see how close different people can make fun builds.
@alansmith95373 жыл бұрын
Honestly I love looking at just the mechanical sides of these builds and seeing what sort of character you can create out of it. Out of this one I get someone who's descended from stone Giants (and is maybe a Goliath) and practices a form of stone warping, magical martial art that's been passed down through his bloodline for generations. Also, just saying this build would totally work for Boulder from ATLA
@andrewtyrell47953 жыл бұрын
I didn't know Stone Sorcerer was ever a thing. It sounds rad, but the cons at the end are probably why it didn't become official. It's a shame, though, because it really does sound cool. Maybe they can revisit and revise it someday.
D&D needs to release more Sorcerer Bloodlines to make up for the fact that the origins of a Sorcerers magic can come from many different magical areas. Like the Elemental Planes, Celestials, Fiends, Fey, Undead, ect.

One of the main characters of Pumpkin Scissors is a special soldier that was literally trained to solo literal tanks, Randel Oland, so he's a beefy boi, also fights with a very special handgun (the gun is impractical and unfeasible for anyone that doesn't have the build to handle the ridiculous kick of the weapon, it's also a single-shot handgun). @@343happyspock2 i'm not going for a specific interpretation, personality is up to the player, they could use the build to play as their favorite iteration of the doctor, or use it to make their own time-lord character, the main things i wanna see is cleverness, possibly casting, with more of a focus on utility/being persuasive and deceptive, and the ability to "regenerate' into someone new when they die. which, for all i know, isn't possible in 5e dnd, something that'd need to be homebrewed to actually work, but i think it'd be an interesting challenge nonetheless
