A simple song to play, but you do a VERY good job of breaking it down for beginner's to understand. Great job!

You are a very good instructor, very detail oriented! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about your presentation and content. Just one tiny thing: I saw Eddie live from 10 feet away...those little "rhythm hits" are a DOWN-UP motion, NOT two downs.... As a teacher myself, I hear it referred to as a "chicka" because that's how it sounds, that fast down-up chop prior to the immediately following down stroked chord. You're detail oriented as I am, and I was watching Eddie like a hawk. I promise it's a quick down-up "chicka"! 3 downstrokes in a row is awkward and makes no sense. You're very good! Great tone too!

Great lesson. Great tone. Who makes the trem for the striped series if you know? Gotoh? Is it a good trem? That's the only thing that keeps me from considering one. I love that Fender EVH pickup. What amp you ising may I ask? Tganks again for the vid. Very cool. .

Growing up in the 70s , 80s , we always though albums were in e flat or sounded e flat because of the speed of the record 33rpm 1/3 you record in standard and on the album it comes out E FLAT because of the speed of the record I also remember hearing that ED tuned higher for Sammy's voice

I see another one of your videos with a Franken-Kramer, different than the one in this video unless you "weathered" this one. Is this the same one? or is it a different one? and the Kramer, is is an actual Baretta? or a kitbash?

I mean, yeah, and the Wolfgang is a great guitar, but isn’t the Frankenstrat a bit cooler?
@dylanrussell81534 жыл бұрын
I mean I've honestly never been a fan of the Frankenstein design.. I understood its purpose and such but .. I overall think the Wolfgang is cooler because thats his design, with his specs.

Listen to the ALBUM song @ 1/2 or 1/4 speed - details will be apparent, although in a different octave/register. Play to find muscle memory 1st, and later play @ the proper tempo. I believe that the band would tume a 1/4 tone flat, for vocal reasons. Exercise your ears & fingers. Enjoy! VH is one of my faves. Check out Hemdrix, DiMeola, & Rhoads, too - timesless stuff happened in that era.....

@SuperPapa446 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Bocanegra Van Halen tuned down for David Lee Roths low voice is the reason for that.I'm old school myself Jimmy.Check out the original music I wrote by myself on you tube in my garage by myself.I used an old drummer friend on one song with a video but the rest was made with drumbeats from a keyboard I have.I recorded everything on a Tascam DP-24 recorder with CD burning capabilities and haven't played anywhere and almost have 11,000 views.Check them out.Richard Lark McClary,no effects on any except a wah pedal on a couple and straight through a Line 6 amp with an 8" speaker.I had them mastered at a studio except for LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
