Yep, the "I'm new" works wonders. Let's people know you're not a jerk; you're just getting used to the interface. People are generally welcoming and accepting as you fumble through your first few games navigating the interface. It's pretty straightforward software and emulates pretty much how you'd play in paper. I just started DB last night after not having played yugioh in over a decade, and I got the hang of it really quickly. Goat format room is a blessing for me so I don't have to waste everyone's time reading every single card and figuring out the new summoning mechanics.

huge weakness with this program is cards like exchange or change of heart can't work, since you can't change control of cards to give to your opponent

I was using the screen capture software OBS. It allows me to show what ever section of the screen I want and increase the size.

Oh that is weird. I remember I used to play it on a mac (back when it was called The Dueling Network). I wonder if its the changes they made to it when they removed Flash? Did you try different web browsers?

You both need an account, then when you start a new duel, your friend just needs to join the duel and you accept.

You should be able to create a new account using the correct email. Unless you did put the correct one in the first place… did you check your email? Check your junk/spam too!
