Why does every seem to struggle to explain how to plumb a float it can be so much easier and more precise than this and most of the clips I’ve seen! Take nothing away from Andy he is an absolute legend and I’ve learnt so much from him it just amazes me how they all struggle to explain how to plumb a float

Any reason why still use locking shot rather than rubber stops??.been pleasure angler for 40 plus years and rubbber stops been one of the best improvements for me . less risk of line damage. Can double up if they slip on fine lines. Also use them in ledger rigs. Also a lot easier to thread on than pinch on

For bigger floats where you need to use non-toxic shot then they are a good option, but if you are using small enough shot that they are proper lead, they don't damage the line, especially stotz.
