How To Point Brick Slips

So you show us how to do a concave mortar joint but what about doing a raked joint, I never see videos with raked joints on these slips.

Hi Christopher, thanks for the feedback- essentially the method is the same, you'd want to put less mortar in, and you'd use an 8mm tool to really rake them out.

Regular blue circle mortar - does not work at all. The gun clogs up after 2 squeezes

Yes some mortars won't combine to be smooth enough, our mortars are formulated to go nicely through the guns or a bag once mixed.

@@otherstarboard I would look for something that contains a plasticiser - or failing that, if you can source a plasticiser it could mean your mix would become smooth enough to work - the other alternative is the old fashioned hawk and trowel method like in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4Com4Jppq92eKc
