Loving your prep on the Cutless this is how i prep my restoration jobs , its a lot off work but well worth it in the end . Here in the uk we call clear on clear flow coating , not many painters do because off the time and effort it takes but i've seen some off my jobs years later and they stand up well .. great vid 👍 jim uk

you also need to put the 2K over slick sand if you are gonna wet sand before paint... you can not wet sand slick sand... feather fill... super build ..which is what i like to use for ease of mixing with the super build 4:1... polyester is to porous and absorbs the water and can cause blistering after paint if wet sanded

Slick sand is Basically spray on filler & absorbs moisture like a microfiber towel !!!! You MUST seal it up with base coat if you want to allow it to sit for awhile - or your metal will micro rust underneath..... I learned the hard way.. . .

So you apply epoxy twice? Once after stripping the metal then again for any burn throughs when sanding the quick sand ?

The primed panels are so perfect that they look like 3d models. There's no evidence of any filled holes whatsoever.

Suit up my guy !!! It dont matter how nice of a downdraft you have - the compounds in catalyzed materials is killing you slowly...... Everyone i used to look up to in the paint game are all dead now from it.... Isocyanates get everywhere thru your skin pores, eyes - everything...!!!! Stay alive
