I want to start making and selling fake nails but I don’t know how much sizes to include, especially if they want a design on a specific nail like on the ring finger , how do I know how big the ring finger nail has to be? I personally have small nails so I can measure them on mine

If they want a design on a specific nail, they will have to measure that nail and you can find the tip to suit them. Otherwise, you can't have specifics.

anja bronic these are just full cover fake nails that you stick on your naked nails. I have used them in a lot of my past videos, but I will go more into detail about how I paint them, in my next design video for you :)

Thanks, in my opinion yes regular polish is best. The nails adhere better when the tip is flexible enough to shape to the natural nail. I do paint them with gel polish as well though, but they go quite stiff and won't fit every shape of nail as well.

Hello Courtney, I know all too well what you mean about the flexibility when using cured gel polish on the fake nails. However when designing them i still prefer using gel - it's just easier to clean up mistakes when doing artwork on them. What I found to help them to fit better is to take the sides and very gently flex them outward and hold them there for a few seconds. I have been doing this on all the ones I have created for myself since I have very flat nail beds and have had great success with them fitting. I figure if they can fit my difficult nails they should be able to fit anyone with any kind of C curve. Give it a go and let me know if it works.

do you prepare false nails as we do on real nails with dehydrator and prep then builder and at last apply gel color? or we just need buff the nail surface and its ready to go for gel color?

hi Anam, Its completely up to you. I find it works best with only nail varnish OR only gel polish. The nail will fit the customer best if it is flexible. When you add builder gel and acrylic, it loses its flexibility. If you are buffing the nail, there is no need to apply a base coat, but it doesnt hurt. If you arent buffing it, a base coat is required. There is no need to dehydrate or prime. :) hope this helps. I apply then paint. Why? Glue leakage. If glue leaks on the side or you by accident get glue on top of the nail, it's best to have it bare so you can it off then polish it

Hi kerry, shipping to Australia is expensive, as I'm sure you are aware. According to the postal service website it is around 27 AUD. The designers package is 20 AUD. Custom nails vary in price from 31-40 AUD. Xo
