A levels were THE most stressful experience of my life. But it definitely strengthened me, taught me the importance of perseverance, resiliance and they also really matured me. Im sooooo happy they are behind me though. Definitely worth the experience, i feel much more intelligent and much more prepared for life as an adult. Tbh looking back if i rewind to the beginning of year 12 i dont think any amount of warnings could prepare me for how intense it was. All id say is be ready to work extremley hard and make sacrifices to get amazing grades, keep god close and seek his help cause theres just so much to learn u really need divine intervention to secure those straight a's and a*'s. Anyway i get my results tommorow in two weeks...

PLEASE do this kind of video for GCSEs PLEASE I BEG YOU😭 I've just finished year 10, moving into year 11 soon and I simply don't know how to start revision! I keep wasting time on my phone not doing anything when I neeeeeeed to study! Please, a "how to prepare for GCSEs during the summer" video would really help me (and probably loads of other people my age too)! Guys like this up so she can see!❤

as a year 11 who is stressing about GCSE results day, here are some tips: This summer, don't do heaps of work. I would recommend making sure you have notes on everything from year 10 and that you understand everything (you don't need to sit and learn it, just make sure you understand it!) With my notes, I regret making them from the revision guides as the info was the same and didn't help, make notes from yt videos (science with hazel is amazing and i think primrose kitten too however she didnt cover my exam board so I didn't use her, Mr Bruff, Mr everything english are also good) make sure that you have revision guides for your subjects as well. I honestly recommend starting proper revision in January (and revise for your mocks, I didn't and that put me at such a disadvantage) GCSE pod is a great resource, my school offered it to us and it was great. My main tip is ease yourself into it, try doing 1 hour this week and maybe 2 next week then 3 etc, I created too many unrealistic goals and ended up wasting so much time procrastinating. But this year, stay on top of things, do your hw the night you get it and if you can, just start year 11 doing a couple hours every weekend and build up on that (my school gave us an abnormal amount of hw so I never ever did that lol) if your school gives barely any homework then try work 1-2 hours a night. if you have any questions feel free to ask
@akankshamarepalli12125 жыл бұрын
@@nataliehill2098 Omg I wasn't expecting a reply haha but TYSM OMG!! I've set a goal of doing at least 1 hour a day of some sort of studying whether that's summer hw or actual revision (which imo I think that's a realistic goal if I put my mind to it), yesterday I made a physics mind map on Energy and a geography mind map on Coastal Management, and today I've done a mind map (well two bc I don't have A3 paper so I just did two A4 mind maps) on Romeo and Juliet key quotations. And yeah I've been using as many resources I could find like revision guides, textbooks and useful videos like Primrose Kitten etc (also I agree with u on the "don't write out the whole revision guide" part lol that's just a complete waste of time I'd rather just write down all the key info instead and practice). Honestly I'm so glad I got a response back from a person close to my age, and even better, someone that's just finished their exams and r getting their results back soon, I feel like that's more helpful than getting advice from someone wayyy older (or even someone way younger lol). Speaking of results, good luck in urs! My brother's in the same situation too, he's just finished his exams like u and I'm so excited to go with him to see him react to his results haha (but then again I also have to find out my ICT result for my written exam on the same day so not looking forward to that haha but wish me luck). Anyways sorry for the huge paragraph XD I'll go now lol but once again thank u for the advice!❤

I'd also recommend re-reading English books and poems , because by the time I'd got to December Y11 I'd forgotten lots of the key plot lines or character traits. I did chapter summaries for my books and started to make quote banks. Also it's probably useful to work out your weak spots in all your subjects so that you know what to prioritise for revision throughout Y11 and hopefully solve sooner rather than later . But honestly don't stress , YOU WILL BE FINE, it goes so quickly and as long as you put in effort (without wearing yourself out) you'll do great :))
