There's nothing you can do to prepare for mind games and that's all Marine Corps boot camp is, for example you'll run back and forth till you go crazy then roll around in the sand pit for the dumbest reasons. 5:28 - 5:33 ..................you can also do that from the foot end of your bed, or even your dining room table (if it is strong enough and long enough). You bend down all the way so that your head is less than 6 inches from the floor and you're facing upside down. What this does is strengthens the entire lower half of your back so that you can carry more weight on your legs because half of that weight is being carried by the muscles in your back, not any of the muscles in your legs (for example, carrying a wounded person across your back with a firemans carry). It also stretches your spine a bit, but I don't quite know how that is a benefit to your overall health. Maybe you wake up quicker because your back muscles don't atrophy while you sleep.

My top 2 careers are either becoming a veteranarian or joining the Marines. Im not old enough to do either, but i do believe I have a healthy body, it's not outstanding but I do go to the gym and more importantly wrestling has taught me to go beyond what your capable of even when your about to fall apart. I've learned that mindset and I've been able to push beyond my limit. I'm not trying to say I'm above average because to be honest, I'm not, but it is something I'm working on. Basically, I do believe if I keep my workout plan, if in the future I do decide to join the Marines, I'll stand out at least a little bit. But right now, I'm not sure what to choose.

Man this is perfect, I have been looking for a structured routine since I talked to my recruiter and got into the DEP. Looking to get this ASAP as I ship in late January. Just one question before I do, am I able to use this without a slew of work out equipment? I only have access to some dumbbells and a treadmill due to my work schedule, and no access (or the monetary means) to a gym that fits into my schedule. You just got yourself a new sub, your tips and charisma have inspired me to hopefully do more when I get into the Corps, wanted to get to Recon then into the scout sniper program, now maybe MARSOC is in my future. (If the wife approves ha!)

I'm a gamer but I'm a boxer first... I'm currently 15 turning 16 soon...I'm the heavyweight champ in my city (cairo) but I really want to join the marines my plan is to go to the US (for my education) and hopefully get a green card before I get a job because I want to join the US military and I'm working really hard for it even since I was 12 but being an Arab already is a huge red flag even though I'm an atheist my physical capability and reaction time are really good even at my age and I can take a hit but I just want to know if my dream has a 1% chance of coming true or if it's just a dream

I’m 18 and I stay up playing video games all night lol cause my schedule is messed up, I eat pretty healthy though, I used to be overweight but I lost a lot of weight and muscle, so I’m trying to workout to build more of it, idk if I would be able to just qualify as soon as I walk in or not so that’s why I’m trying to prepare, I can do like 5 pull-ups lmao, I’m 5’7 and 145-150 pounds

I went from being the guy on the computer 24/7 to being able to do all the stuff y’all did in the video times a lot.

I don't know if you'll see this but I've been wondering. In the military, airforce, hell even being a fire fighter you come across scary, and adrenaline pumping situation's. I was wondering how you would stay calm and collected in those situations, and what to do, If you could do a video on this, that would be amazing! Thanks!
@wuxushalion7 жыл бұрын
Alright, will definitely do that. Thanks for the reply!

The best way to be calm? What you need to do to practice is do something that involves a lot of skill like a sport or something competitive. I’ll just use football as an example but you will need to make a conscious effort to remain calm, cool, & collective. Don’t try to hard by making incredible plays & being a hotshot. If you make the conscious effort to stay calmed in frantic situations, you will naturally end up making the incredible plays & being the hotshot anyways, the difference is that you will not be forcing it upon yourself & it’ll come naturally. Do not try performing the best. Don’t think to hard. You will need to learn to think with your gut’s instincts. Not your brains thoughts. I am gonna assume you’ve seen this play but, I promise to you, Odell Beckham was not trying to make a one hand backwards diving touchdown in the end zone, he wasn’t worried about dropping it when it was thrown, & when he noticed the ball he didn’t slow down to think “what could I do to catch this?” He just noticed that the ball was above him, & he reacted, it’s as simple as that.

Although I will say it is a lot harder in crazy combat situations & shit obviously since that’s such a terrifying thing to someone who’s never experienced something like it. But the only way to try being more prepared is to try building a calm mindset & make guy choices.

Thanks man, I appreciate that reply. I guess it really does come down to practice and execution. But ill tell you what. I know men in special forces that still get scared in a gun fight, etc. I guess that fight or flight feeling never subsides,
@donovanlouis36687 жыл бұрын
Speedy well yea your 100% correct, when it’s a life or death situation it is much much much harder to remain calm. That’s just the basic principle on how you can try to become more of a calm person, although practically anybody will crack under the pressure of a live gunfight. Warfare isn’t something that can be practiced in civilian life, rarely any civilian will ever run into a situation that is actually considered “scary”, the closest thing a civilian knows is a horror movie. This would just be the basic principle on how to become a more calm person, & it only makes sense that the more calm of a person you are in civilian life, it may help just a little bit more on the battlefield. There’s no 100% cure on becoming a calm person, you just have to make a conscious effort as I said.

I have a son at Parris Island right now. I'm so proud of him, but when he gets leave and can come home I'm afraid there will be an "Oh shit" moment. I'm not in bad shape, certainly not as good shape as I was when he was a kid. In a letter he told me we are going to work out together. He left no question, we are period end of sentence. I just hope he doesn't go full DI on an old man.

Hey man can you make a video about why silkies are fantastic. I’m not in the military but when I run obstacle course races and trails I wear my spartan helmet silkies which are violently short one for maneuverability and two sweat pants offer the opportunity to skip leg day silkies turn heads and make calves the new biceps. Well I wish you long runs and short shorts Sincerely dirty mike and the boys.
