With many people reporting feeling exhausted while working remotely, you may be wondering how to prevent burnout while working from home. There are tons of benefits to working from home, but it's difficult to maintain work life balance sometimes. A downside of working from home can be struggling to create boundaries between work and rest. I am sharing a few work from home tips to support you mental health and avoid work from home burnout.

Thanks for the tips Tasia. I find it really hard to work from home without much “real” human interaction and, as you said, physical distinction between the office and home space. I’ll try turning off the notifications. Some of my colleagues and clients send emails at an odd time of the day / night and even no immediate action from me is required, I go back to work mode and start thinking about that email during non-work hours..

I found myself doing the exact same thing. Turning off the notifications really helped me unplug more effectively. 🙏

I loved working from home the first couple of weeks, I love me time, but after some time I did miss human interaction

There are definitely pros and cons to working from home. Not getting to chat with folks in person is definitely one of them.

Burnout tips to identify potential signs of burnout!? Brilliant. These are such useful life skills this Boomer sure would have valued. Move from GenXers to Gen-Zs raises the need to incorporate into daily routines. Love it.😍

Learning how to achieve sustainable work life balance is something I think every generation tries to figure out. It’s always evolving and changing. 🤔

Thank you so much for this advice. I find whenever I tried to do something for me on my lunch hour, we pay for it later because I didn't plan what we were eating for lunch. I know meal planning is super important but I just don't have time for it.

Try stocking the house with easy and fast meals that are healthy. My go-tos are prepared salads from the grocery store, organic vegetable soups with some bread/toast, or granola, yogurt and fruit which take 5 minutes to throw together!

as a theatre arts student we really didn't have boundaries between work and personal life at all. we poured all our free time to theatre work and that really made me burn out. 😭 we didn't even have enough sleep
