I have a friend who is dealing with some bladder pain and all I can say is listen more to this man. Plant based is another world but it's worth living in,the possiblities are endless to what you can eat. There are so many plants in the world and all you gotta do is try and if something isnt what you like then theres laway other things to try. Your life will change for the better and you dont have to wait. There's all kinds of competitors out there,whos the fastest,who can out smart who,who can live without who,who can show no mercy,who knows what,who has more money,it goes on and on. Let's just step back and look at it,you maybe win a little bit or a lot but it's getting tiring really fast trying to win at everything. Here's a challenge for them,try the diet that he says has made people lives better and healthier. You can be a winner every day of your life.

According to Dr Robert Lustig, who treated kids with fatty liver it was the sugars and fructose being the culprit. At one instance even made sure to have the kids maintain their excess weight despite reducing the fat in the liver by changing their diet (to prove that obesity as such was not the cause).
@eyeswideopen2043 Жыл бұрын
Lustig is a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing. He has a few truths intermingled with a lot of misinformation. By pointing his finger at sugar, the real culprit - FAT - gets off the hook. And so he recommends things like animal proteins that have been "grass fed" - as if how the animals have been fed nullifies the harm that animal protein does within humans. It doesn't.

In my last pregnancy I had to follow a very low fat diet due to liver and gallbladder problems. I basically did the McDougall diet, didn't even restrict sugar, and the fat just melted off my body. But my baby was 9lbs so he obviously didn't miss out. I also was amazed how I had no aches and pains in my body, joints etc even when 9 months pregnant. I've since had my gallbladder removed and can eat fat again so sadly am just not as disciplined with the low fat eating 😃

I would like to see Dr. Mcdougall have discussion with a big KZbin doctor that teaches Keto or Carnivore diet. There are many.

They refuse to debate him because they know better than to give him a platform. Their lies would be exposed and they'd lose the bulk of their audience if it was exposed to the Mc Dougall spotlight.

@@eyeswideopen2043They refuse to debate him. You know this how?
@eyeswideopen2043 Жыл бұрын
@@lf7065 Because Dr. Mc Dougall has said so publicly. He has challenged them to an open platform debate many times but they're never going to agree because it'sa debate they cant win. Don't ever confuse the short term results that a carnivore diet often brings with long term success. There is no carnivore blue zone region and there won't ever be. The body needs the phytochemicals and fibre found in plants to ward of disease. Not only does meat not have these but the bacteria in the colon break down animal proteins into carcinogens - which is why Colon Cancer is largely a disease of meat eaters. Vegetarians rarely get Colon Cancer.
@janetgarcia3273 Жыл бұрын
Even IF a Keto or Carnivore diet were to be the most healthy way to eat, life is so restricted that your life is not what it could be. We were created to enjoy eating all the earth has to offer. It's the most enjoyable part of living life. We gather with friends and family around food. Eating animals is a messy business and it smells bad too. Most people would not eat animals if they had to kill, gut, clean, and dispose of the blood, guts, bones, skin and feathers. Every feed lot stinks so bad no one wants to live near one. What does all that tell you? I am 71 and just started the McDougall diet, and I love it. I tried Keto and found it made things worse and it got very boring. Now my A1C is normal and I am losing weight and I have a lot of energy too. Thank you Dr. Mcdougall and Chef AJ. Ì moved to Tijuana Mexico 6 yrs ago by the beach and I love it here. Where are you going in Mexico Chef AJ?

I remember you saying that people don't like the taste of meat and that this is evidence of meat not being a natural food for humans :) I beg to differ! I am not sure there is big scientific literature on who likes what, but I love meats of many kinds and I know many ppl who do too. Also without fancy sauces etc. Just a couple of minutes on BBQ on each side, and a pinch of salt and pepper. I love fat too, particularly butter which goes fantastic with potatoes. Whipped cream is the best I know. Maybe I am not a human?
@eyeswideopen2043 Жыл бұрын
I think his point is that these tastes are learned not natural. We crave what our gut bacteria crave and we destroy the good bacteria with animal protein consumption, among other things.
@Jack_Schularick Жыл бұрын
@@eyeswideopen2043 I am not sure but he seems to think that we did not evolved to eat meat and that meat is bad. Is this an established fact? I don't remember him talking about the gut bacteria much either. If there is a solid literature on animal protein being bad for gut bacteria, I would love to see it.
@eyeswideopen2043 Жыл бұрын
@@Jack_Schularick As regards the foods we evolved to eat, Dr. Milton Mills might be worth a listen. As regards the gut - it thrives on fibre and animal foods dont contain any. That would be problem enough, but then there's the carcinogenic aspect of Animal Protein: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Suh3mVg66dbpIsi=InhXZeqfVIp3GIwv 5:10: "The meat gets down to the colon. The bacteria in the large intestine breaks down the meat proteins (and the bile acids that the liver secretes to digest them) into cancer causing substances (carcinogens) and you smear these carcinogens on the inside of your colon and it can set off Cancer of the Colon. Cancer of the Colon is essentially a disease of Meat eating people. You very rarely see it in vegetarians. Eliminating meat products from the diet substantially lowers the risk of Cancer of the Colon. Numerous studies have now shown this."

A financial you tuber I watch who keeps an eye on politics started saying we need meat to be healthy and strong and have strong minds. That the government wants you to be weak so they can control us. Vary religious too so he throws that in as well. He believes this. What is ironic is he is an active fireman so he must see a lot of heart attacks and strokes at his job. He has no clue. He is tad on the heavy side too.

Devastating to see intelligent people misled, I know. Try telling that guy's logic to the elephants, hippopotami, bison, oxen, giraffes - all 100% plant eaters, and could knock us out with their muscles in a heartbeat if they so chose! The research is clear, as Dr M has laid out, but I feel sorry for so much of the public - without a science background, many will struggle to know the smoke from the mirrors.
@eyeswideopen2043 Жыл бұрын
You should refer him to the videos of Rip Esselstyn (son of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn) and a former fire fighter who transformed the health of his unhealthy work colleagues with a plant based diet. I also think it's the Book of Genesis that recommends we eat a plant diet for good health. The videos of Dr. Milton Mills address this.
