If you leave the release liner intact instead of cutting it off, the water rolls down away instead of dripping onto the door panel. That reduces water by 30% dripping onto door panels. Also, your hard roll-up causes the edge of the tint to crease. As well, it wouldn't hurt to show how you prepped the top of the door gasket to prevent contaminants from drawing back from fingers and dust flicking back onto the exposed glass.. From a pro tinter with 25 years experience, over 20,000 installs.

You use the heat gun to shrink the tint in order for the tint to fit the inside of the glass appropriately? I ask to understand why you use the heat gun. Other wise the tint won't fit on the inside of the glass? Thank you for explaining the process in detail. So heating the tint with the heat gun helps to remove the air bubbles under neither the tint and shrinks the tint to fit the window?

Hey man good effing videos. How do you know when to shrink the film and when not to? And how do you know when to remove the door panel and when not to?
@WindowTintWarriors10 жыл бұрын
You typically don't need to remove door panels on any car; removing the door panel just make installation much easier for beginners. any time you are tinting a door when you are not removing the panel you should always shrink the film on the outside. The reason you do this is so that when you install the film and lay it under the gasket as seen in this video you will not have any fingers or any large fingers.
@emilianozapata195410 жыл бұрын
Ohh ok thank you so much bro still waiting to see how you tint a back window.. thanks again and also I want to see how you tint a quarter window. Take care.

Love the work man. What type of tint do you use? I have always been a Llumar fan. One concern I have about getting my car tinted is the possibility of the solution staining my interior.. What's your opinion on that? Keep posting the vids, very informative.
@WindowTintWarriors10 жыл бұрын
I typically stick with solar gard or suntek. The solution won't stain your interior at all. It may leave drip marks if you have armor all on the panel but trust me it will go away. To make it go away faster just wipe the panel down with some interior cleaner and they come right off.

IF you are creased the bottom left corner. Then try not to flip the bottom up when you clean the bottom. When I first started tinting I use to crease the bottom all the time from fllipping the bottom of the tint up.

@aidansheppard32963 жыл бұрын
Hey. The white dots could be blemishes or little pieces of dirt in the tint. You just have to heat the outside of the glass and use a card ( like the pink lil chisler as shown in the video) and work it out
@michaeldavis65306 жыл бұрын
Hey Dan, I found the guy that is making the too short patterns on my program, why did you shift the film up before cutting top edge? Don't cut on the car!!!! Bring the film up a little more when shrinking to avoid burning gasket. And don't cut your liner (provides a little protection on panel from water and gives you something to grab without folding the film up. Other than that he's got it
@andretrepak64967 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thx for ansvering and taking your time. I think its costs of you maybe 1 minutes. Covering the door with one plastic bag, i think its takes no more time than 30 sec. And yes rainwater is goes to doorpanel is well, thats why i wipe up always quick as possible.
@WindowTintWarriors7 жыл бұрын
Well yes if we know there is an issue with a specific door panel getting wet we will definitely cover it. There are some that are sensitive and some that are okay.

+Window Tint Supplies. This car on video is relativley new car with leather doorpanel. And for the leather is the biggest enemy is the water. Rainy weater when you seats the car its takes max 3 sec and closing the door. And sorry, maybe i wrong, but i never spray my interieur with water. Rain water its inaf for this 3 sec.

I do have one question that no one seems to answer. How after you cut the front and shift forward, then cut the back. You don’t need to center the film before you cut the top? Won’t that when installed and centered throw off the front edge of the top? I don’t see how it won’t if not centered before cutting the top. Sean, can you answer this for me cause I seriously lose sleep over this lol.
