You are welcome, i prefer the OpenGD77 Firmware due to its capabilities and customization. And it is made by radio users who love to make it more useful and functional than (stock) official firmware. The official firmware is built to sell the radio, but the OpenGD77 is built to use the radio.

@@perfectsilencecreationOpenGD77 is much easier to work with than factory and the availability of pre-compiled codeplugs is a godsend for saving many hours of programming. Your video is a great no nonsense instruction that made everything so much easier to understand.

Hi, do you know why when I go back from gd77 to normal baofeng firmware, the morning monitor squelching stays on without being able to stop it? on gd77 it works normally

Yes, because GD77 firmware has a squelch mode that you can set as far as you want it to be set. Now I can rx weak signals on GD77 that the stock firmware can't rx, and adjust the squelch to eliminate signal interference.

The squelch settings works fine on GD77 than the DM1701 stock firmware. Using OpenGD77 firmware, now you can customize most of the mode settings on DM1701 like a charm.
