How to program chevy key

Hell yeah man. For those of you wanting to get right to instructions.... Here they are... Insert key and turn to ACCESSORY. Do NOT then engine on!! Eave key in ACC for 10-11 minutes & until the car&lock light (farthest to left on your dash) goes OFF! AS SOON AS LOCK LIGHT GOES OFF...turn car off completely for several SECONDS. then REPEAT... Again turn key to ACCESSORY for 10-11 minutes until lock light goes OFF.. AFTER turn car completely off for several SECONDS until repeating a THIRD TIME!! three 10minute cycles! When you've completed the third cycle... Turn car off completely ONCE more. Wait a few seconds. THEN turn key FULLY until ignition starts!! This should work for basically any GM 2003-2017(DONT QUOTE ME ON YEARS! JUST WHAT I WAS TOLD BY MOBILE MECHANIC!)

OMG!! Thank you so much! It worked for my 2014 Chevy Captiva! You really saved me so much money! I had to tried it three times like you said and it did take 30 min overall, but the third time it took a minute longer and I had to hold the key when I started my car. Again less you for sharing!!!!!!

Thank you. I am going to try programming my key today. I actually do have one working key, so I have another method to try first, but if it doesn't work, I will use your method.

the security light already goes off immediately for me on my 2007 HHR. the only way it blinks for me is if the key is turned all the way off or almost off.
