the first time I watch the video, I have the feeling that there is no difference between two words, and I could not pronounce the word "peanuts" to let Google Translate recognize the word. Fortunately, after 5 minutes, I have found the difference, I have to stop 0.1 second at the T sound, it likes peanut...s, and it works. Now I know how to pronounce other words with ending T which having s in plural. thank you so much for the video

*P I N A T S*. The only thing one should pay attention to is the correct translation of letters to sounds. Which in the English language drifted apart due to the lack of language maintenance.

+roller4312 True, spelling is not an exact recipe for pronunciation.

Tarle Speech and Language Services hello, that's the opposite of what i said. The only problem are the translation tables. Let's take the worst case scenario - Mandarin, each glyph represents a certain sound sequence, it doesn't mean it can't be read it means for 20k Chinese words there are 20k pronunciation rules. Which is exactly what this video did. It mapped "peanuns" to peanuts( plus dialects thereof) and not apples or human organs. A unique rule specifically for this word. Following this rule a 100% reproduction is achieved otherwise we wouldn't be able to communicate. The problem - in the long term it converts English to Mandarin and discards the whole letters stuff. The opposite of Mandarin would be computers, using two letters, 0,1. just using different translation tables. 0110100001101001 = "hi". And can even speak paint and listen, just use the appropriate translation table.

When I was in pre-school, I remember a most definitely non-ESL teacher saying what sounded like "Penis is fattening!" What an odd thing to hear when you're a pre=schooler attempting to be a class comedian trying to get other kids to say it because you think their their parents taught them only euphemisms...

Yes. That is why I made the video. Listen for the T before the S. TS is key.

Can't help, but think of the airplane scene from Ace Ventura When Nature Calls where the stewardess asks if he wants peanuts and Ace talks about his genitals.

Mistakes can be in native speakers children. My friends' kid twisted some words very funny when he was around 4 years old. We kept poker faces 😆.
