I just picked up a 3 inch rooted piece of burro tail at the Walmart. It was on the floor. Now it’s mine. Happiness is when plant leafs are in the floor. Yay

thank you for making the propagation of the burros tail so simple, and I loved how you explained that it will look dehydrated and not so good at first. if you hadn't explained that I would have most certainly thought I'd done something wrong!

These grow so slow for me even though I have it under t5s 14 hours a day for the winter. I went to Italy last year, succulents growing everywhere like California. people had burros tail succulents growing off their balconies in town that were over 15ft long while mine would take forever to do that. I almost want to move to somewhere with a Mediterranean climate for my plants haha

Thanks for this! I had a beautiful burros tail growing but we moved to a new house and its been an adjustment trying to find good light for it and my other succulents. Its winter now and I have it in the best light source i could find, but its become really stretched out. Also the soil isnt doing the best so ill need to change that out. Planning on taking a few clippings and transferring the existing burrows tail into a new pot with fresh soil and starting another new pot for the clippings/leaves to see if i can get another one started and keep it healthy.

@cancertourmaline67983 жыл бұрын
Man, mine looks nothing like yours. The plant itself if greenish blueish, but the leaves are all wrinkled, and no matter how much I specifically spritz water over it, it doesn’t get much better. It’s the leaves near the base though, not the ones further along. At least the wrinkly part when you cut them I did right.
@kellyg26353 жыл бұрын
if its wrinkly, you night be overwatering it. I was always told that burros tail should be watered thoroughly, but only once every 2-3 weeks, and make sure that it's pot has proper drainage.
@cancertourmaline67983 жыл бұрын
@@kellyg2635 That's what I thought as well, but the leaves just... shriveled up and got smaller? Anyway, I did the soak and dry that's been talked about, and it's doing MUCH better, even sprouting a new 'tail' near the base!
@teyastea97403 жыл бұрын
I’d say leave it in the sun for a day or two because I had wrinkles and the leaves were squishy, but I wasn’t watering it so I was confused but I get set them outside for a day and the leaves started too become firmer and it could also be due too overwatering so stop watering them until the soil has completely dries out
@cancertourmaline67983 жыл бұрын
@@teyastea9740 thanks for the info! But the problem was that I didn’t water them enough funny that it may seem. I can it LOTS of water, that another commenter said I should, and BOOM, no more wrinkles. As for sun, they are near a window all day. But I can’t put them outside.
@vfranz01625 жыл бұрын
So I don’t have a propagation video request, but have you ever done water therapy on succulents? I’m a little curious about it/how to do it! ♥️🌵
@AngelsGrove5 жыл бұрын
Vfranz016 I only do it if I essentially have ran out of options. I don’t like using it for propagation just cause I you have to change the water and adjust the roots to the soil eventually, etc etc. and just sticking a cutting In the dirt seems to work great for me and it’s less work 😂
@vfranz01625 жыл бұрын
Angel's Grove that makes sense. I just was given this one super super dehydrated PVN and regular watering doesn’t seem to help it. 🙃
@AngelsGrove5 жыл бұрын
Vfranz016 hmm. I mean it is worth trying if the succulent won’t come back. You can just put it in water in a jar or container and change the water every few days until it grows roots. If it comes between losing the succulent and trying this, I would try

Hi, thanks for the videos. They are very helpful for me as a novice succulent grower. Will burrow’s tail be happy under an LED grow light in a “full sun” situation? I currently have all of my succulents inside under the lights and have not tried growing outside yet. Burrow’s tail was one of the first succulents I tried but they did not live because I overwatered them pretty quickly and they rotted out. I would like to try them again want to make sure I have the proper light situation first!

What do u think of root starter?
@AngelsGrove5 жыл бұрын
Kathy Fahey ya know, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I just never use it and I have never had a problem with roots not starting so. Now it probably would help it go faster and maybe I would be more successful but for the most part the plant does just fine on its own. I probably don’t use it as a result of being too lazy to go buy some 😂😂
