Linda I love watching your videos that's about all I got done this weekend I need to get out in the real Garden. But you're giving me great ideas. I just want to say I'm so sorry that it seems like there's so many people making rude comments or rude questions on here. Your answers are stellar and very kind. More kind than I think I probably could be. My favorite so far has been the one telling the gentleman that he should have another cup of coffee. That made me laugh and laugh.

I took a broom to em.😜 Looking forward to your next video. Take care.

Hi Linda, I have a Chinese snowball viburnum to tree form which I have never done. But you’ve empowered me to go for it! Mine is a few years old and the stems are quite woody. Your snips seem to make quick work of it! I can’t believe a gardener would ask you why you’re wearing boots, but you were so diplomatic about it!

I had not seen this video until after my 7 hours in the garden today ....This must be a day for pruning as I finally decided to take down these long ornamental grasses, which I did like at the beginning but then I found they were overpowering the other plants I love. And all the weeds were growing in between the grasses that it became a menace. Then I found myself pruning this lilac tree which had all kinds of vines growing in the middle. I feel so happy now especially with the new hydrangea bushes I planted nearby. They and I can finally breathe! (I realized I was applying feng Shui principles to my gardening with respect to plant placement ! ) When doing any digging or pruning I wear these waterproof leather tied up ankle boots, to prevent any bug bites but also in case I drop pruning shears or other tools on my foot! I have to wear long pants if I am in the shade ! Thanks Linda for the ongoing inspiration! 🇨🇦

Don’t let your plants boss you, and don’t mess with Oklahoma girls! As a Carolina girl, I garden in old white Cotten shorts and a T-shirt since the shorts are light and easy to bleach out. Do love your garden boots. I ordered some off your amazon site. Wonderful! Still using them as we are entering our summer and all of it’s humidity. More importantly, thank you so much for these pruning techniques. This is the skill we all aspire to!

It amazes me what questons people will ask on a gardening video. True gardeners will garden in any attire including pajamas, pearls, evening gowns, and bathing suits. Two weeks ago, as I was coming out of church, I noticed that the little garden I had planted in the courtyard had several large weeds. So, with my handbag in one hand and my high heels on, I proceeded to weed the garden. My question would be, what brand are your clippers? Thanks for the videos.

Amen ! If feel like gardening I don't care what I wear or what I look like 🥰 you should of seen me yesterday - I was a hot mess - thanks girl your videos- your videos are my favorite. This summer Im creating a yoga/prayer garden. Live in 5b yesterday I planted blue Lavender, rosemary, wild rose bushes x4 , floribunda europeana rose bushes x2, moonlight button bush, and two magnolia trees (ordered yesterday). I have 2 spots that need bushes, I think I'm going to plant these bushes in your video. Blue is my favorite color. I need privacy when I'm out doing yoga. I have a huge backyard that is open in fulll sun. I am doing the landscaping all by myself. Can you do a video on how to start a landscape garden from scratch (pulling out grass/ soil. Cheap ways to border the dirt and mulch ) ect. I don't see any videos addressing this. When is the best time to plant bushes and trees? If they come early do I keep inside until I can plant them?

I agree with you on garden attire. A garden whispers and bids you to come out all the time. It does not consider what you are wearing! I am a boot wearer too--In Seattle because of the rain and possible slugs and frogs. Now that I am in Oklahoma, I really see the need for them in the country with ticks, snakes, frogs and any number of bugs.

There are also Copperhead snakes in Oklahoma, which you can easily run into in heavy cover. They can't bite through rubber boots and usually strike low on the leg or at your hands. Unlike the five varieties of rattlesnakes in Oklahoma, copperheads give no warning!

zolawinnie, I love the fall color of Virginia Creeper, and I allowed it to get so established that it has grown over the last 35 years, underground cables that are the size of a garden hose. Linda is right about it being very invasive. It has climbed up some white barked birch trees, and in the fall it's so pretty but .... this is only okay in a very countrified setting at some distance. Definitely not for a small garden that you want to stay manicured. Also, I think birds bring these invasive plants. I adore all of the birdies, but they do spread invasive plants. Yes, this VC vine is extremely invasive, and at full maturity actually will develop gripping action on a tree. So, it's now all the way at the top of the birch family cluster, and hanging down, waving in the breeze like Spanish Moss!
