Yes, pistol squats! That would be great. I used to be able to do them in another decade but cannot get remotely close now.

Yessss I'd love a journey to pistol squats! I can almost do one using sliders under my straight leg but that's only one side lol and my body ain't straight or steady.

Haha Meg was traumatized by seeing our form. I used to think I could do 100 pushups until I brought my elbows by my side and realized I didn't have triceps. They're coming, they're just a little shy. :D

@rxp56 yes! I hate those classes because in my opinion good form is far more important than the number of reps. If we injure ourselves with bad form, good luck to keep up with the push ups...

Your video about the wrist placement was really helpful for me to grow the mind-body connection in pushups (!) And it helps even when trying out different variations 🌞 I've been into prison-style burpees (Moses Cuevas, Sean G, Iron Wolf, etc.) and haven't done a big chain in some time but I know it will help continued growth there You ROCK 🎖💎

Yes, more bodyweight exercises please! Maybe you could show us some more advanced or uncommon ones, too? Like I hadn't heard of sissy squats from any bodyweight training people, I had to learn about them on T-Nation & they're a good option for people looking to isolate their quads.

Hi Meg, enjoyed some of your videos thanks. I have tenosinivitis in my hands and for me your idea about distribution of weight in the hands to the finger knuckle actually makes things much worse. I find it better to push from the wrist heel as it doesn’t hit those inflamed tendons as much.

Great explanation for hot spots pressure points--as a yogi there a lot of fun arm balancing poses for push strength development and when I went full on handstanding training I brought my uninformed habits with me and it really showed up when I was drilling 60-80 reps, 6 days a week. After working through ulna/wrist injuries emphasizing the placement contact and health of these unsexy joints is key to building/advancing in any movement when it is weight bearing on hands. Thanks!!

This is the best video I've seen on push-ups! Thank you, thank you for the details you spelled out. I've been working my way "down the stairs" to ultimately do a horizontal push-up. Now I know how to position my elbows, how far I should be going down and the most helpful tip was the incredible detail you shared about where the pressure should be on the hand. I've subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to more of your fitness training expertise.

Meg, I'm very interested in your thoughts about teaching kids squating and general barbell exercises for kids. Naturally, kids are strong and I'm interested in how to approach kids with barbell training in a playful manner and of course in a very secure way.
@maxclips31524 жыл бұрын
Not sure how that would work because children shouldn't bear weight when they're still developing?

What kind of aerobic exercises can I do at home? Because it needs to be done at home, jogging, cycling, swimming are all out of the question. I am thinking of rope-jumping but I don't have a rope. What else can I do? Can I rope-jump without a rope? It seems so simple, all I have to do is just jump, is a rope really necessary? Or is there anything else that I can do? Usually I jog outside for 5 km but not when it rains. So I need to find some aerobic exercise that can be done at home without any special equipment and that can replace jogging.

"Try to keep your body in a straight line." ...there ain't a straight line anywhere on your body hun 😉 As for suggested content, I recently got a F.I.D. bench on Amazon for only $120 to go with my dumbell handles and standard plates. I know there are plenty of standard excercises I can do, but I was wondering if you knew so.e innovative ways to workout with just a bench and dumbells? Stuff like putting it in the incline position and using the back as a preacher curl pad, or putting it flat and doing dips on it. Thanks in advance if you do a video on it and I also apologize for my initial pervyness lol
