I'm in a small apartment and need more places for storage. I have a large ottoman (the structured one with a lid) at the foot of my bed that holds tons and allows a place for a robe or blanket at night. Two smaller ones are footrests and hold art supplies, etc in the LR. They're so costly to buy. Thanks for helping me save money! Outstanding video!!!

I made my floor pouf and it turned out great! The only thing I’d change is the length of the zipper. I found that I don’t think a 20-22” zipper is needed. I’d use a shorter one so that the hole wouldn’t be so large, unless your gonna make a removable liner so that the outside cover can be washed. But as far as the instructions, they were very clear and easy to follow. I’d like to add a picture of mine but I don’t see how. Thanks for sharing your tutorial.

@treshaja8 жыл бұрын
+Debra Johns Thanks Debra! I like the idea of stuffing a comforter in there. You will be surprised at how firm it is with the bean bag filling. I guess it just depends on how much you put in there that makes a difference. I'll see how the comforter option works for me.

One of the best tutorials for making a floor pouf. Great idea of lettering the pieces. So do I have this correct that the zipper is between B & A and the steps are as follows - 1.) B to C then C to D 2.) E to C then C to F 3.) F to B, B to E, E to D, D to F Thank you and can't wait to get started with a lot of denim that I have on hand.

Could you look at your video again. The drawing doesn't match up with your actual video. At the 4:14 spot you see the zipper but it's not the same on the drawing. I had other eyes on this & didn't think it was the same. The diagram is in a T or cross shape but at the 4:14 there is no block on top if that makes sense.

@treshaja7 жыл бұрын
Okay I see! Yes, I'll do a video on that. Honestly I am not sure I want to do another tutorial on this using a no sew method. I just don't feel like it will hold as well. I see my little cousin jumping on it and all I can think about is... what if I didn't sew it and it fell apart. That wouldn't be good. So, I think I will do a sewing tutorial to use for projects like this. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

I like this video...I am currently trying to sew two chair cushions but not quite sure how to do them. They should be square and I would like for them to have ties on each corner...just trying to find a video.
@treshaja8 жыл бұрын
+Carmen Edwards Thank you!! The chair cushions are similar to how I constructed the pouf except you will first need to take measurements of the chair seat and cut a piece of foam in that dimension, wrap batting over it with spray adhesive, cut the fabric the size of the foam w/batting and sew the fabric the same way I did for the pouf. The ties can be added last. Finally, sticking the cushion in there. I'll see if I can find a video for you.

Hello Tresha 🤗 - well, I am making one of these today and I will have to send you a photo! You probably said and I overlooked it, but what are all the finished measurements? I think adjustments can be made to fit the person's needs. I'm wondering if you are making it for the livingroom - would you want to make it as high as your coffee table or seat of the couch - so it can be seating or footstool type thing?
@treshaja8 жыл бұрын
+Debra Johns Hi Debra, That's great! Yes, pls send a photo of it. The measurements I used are: 2 squares - 23" x 23" and 4 rectangles - 23" x 12". It's for the living room. That's a great idea to make the height taller. I may make one like that soon. You're right. The measurements can be adjusted based on need. ☺️🤗

love this... how big is it?..do you have a pattern or know the measurements for a bigger size???
@treshaja7 жыл бұрын
+Tajaneh Jones Thanks! It's 23" in W x 12" in H. You can customize the pouf to any width and height. Say you wanted it to be 30" in high and 25" in wide, you would mark that measurement on your fabric and then add .5" seam allowance all the way around (same as in the video). I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I don't have a pattern for you.
