A year later and you’re still helping people quit. I’ve been addicted for the last 5 years. I started at 15 and never thought I’d be addicted. It was just something I did when I was with my friends and it looked at it like it was just a high to have fun with every now and again. 5 years fast forward I’ve got lung issues I never thought I’d have considering I was one of the top runners on my high school track team. Nicotine completely stripped away my interest in everything around due to getting my quick dopamine fixes from it. I’m still addicted and I’ve found things I want to pursue in life but I have so little motivation. I want to play in the nba one day buy nicotine completely strips away the effort I put into it. I’ve tried quitting multiple times and I think the longest I’ve gone is 5 days. But you know what, today is the day. I’m no longer going to let nicotine control my decisions. I’m no longer going to let these nicotine companies make me their good little consumer and money maker. I’m going to live for me and fight for my future. F*CK NICOTINE

This video helped me quit. I'm on day 7 right now. I'm 21 and I've been vaping for a year. For the most part I was vaping 50-59mg/ml. I didn't think I would get addicted but I slowly went from a pod a week to a pod every 2 days. Quitting off of that cold turkey was tough but doable. Day 4 was the best day. The contrast of how I felt from that day compared to day 3 was amazing. Day 2 and 3 were awful. I felt tired and like I had the flu. Now 7 days in, I still get tired occasionally but I feel good knowing I'm not far from feeling normal again. My concern is this anxiety I have that I'm going to miss vaping forever. I struggle to come up with more cons that outweigh the pros of quitting. I really enjoy nicotine with my coffee while I drive to school. Regardless, hearing your reasons for quitting and reading the comments of people who vaped a lot more than me for many more years gives me hope that it's possible to quit for good. Thanks for making this video.
@rytisliaucys34443 жыл бұрын
That is the biggest mistake quitters make. Do not deprive yourself of social occasions like bars and such because you are afraid it wont be as good anymore and might trigger you to relapse. Instead, remember: you gave up nothing, but a poison. When people/friends start puffing, tell yourself: "how wonderful I dont need to be a slave to it anymore". These people as much as they might deny it, they ENVY YOU! They WISH they could go and enjoy a beer without choking themselves ever 5 minutes. So hold your head high!

I’m 14 years old. I started vaping when I was 12, I never inhaled the smoked till a week after I had one. I was only using 20mg of nic and transitioning to 50 mg (same as a cigarette) around 13 years old I was fully addicted to vaping. I have gotten in trouble with nicotine products in 7th grade and when I was in 8th I was expelled. When I got expelled from middle school I had no where to get my vape pods. My mom smokes cigarettes and I had to take a few of hers to get my fix. Now I am on cigarettes smoking 3 times a day and I want to stop. I wake up and Cough at night and every time I run or being really active I start choking up. The really sad thing about it is I used to be number one in my school as fast as students and I completely ruined it by starting nicotine. It is a crazy hard trail and it is not easy to get off. 27 year old here, I'm on day 4 with 0 nicotine. I went cold turkey off of like 300ml of 3mg juice per month. I didn't quit because of your video, but it is certainly helping motivate me today as I'm going through peak withdrawals. That's a lovely point you make about it distracting you from things you should be able to easily enjoy. That's actually a big reason I'm quitting. I went to an NBA game a few weeks ago and after an hour I could barely enjoy it because I needed my "fix". I went to see Spiderman and yet again, after an hour or so it was unenjoyable because I needed stupid nicotine. I felt chained to it. I felt like it was controlling my life. Now, even though I'm having withdrawals and it isn't fun, I can't help but think how much better this is when compared to a lifetime of addiction. Thank you for your video. I've taken the points you made to heart. I feel like this time I can finally kick this habit for good, because I finally have some real reasons to. They've been there the entire time, but I didn't notice until recently.

@@juicybacon12 Thanks to you 🌈 When I read is book in 2005, I succeed and buy fiew books and give them as a gift to friends, family and knowledge that were smoking and they almost all succeed. Again I have to pass through it because of my fault, anxiety depression was so bad I meed something 😢 Today I did not vape... I hang in there, was hard but I hate so much 😎 I did not know he has an audio book ... Is it free ? Thanks so much for the encouragement !👍

@@karine8738 in my experience the cravings come and go and you have to be patient with yourself and think of it as One day at a time. The audiobook is on audible.com. I don’t know if it is available in all countries. It is about 20 US dollars. What I liked about it was that it felt like I had a real person there that could support me- like hearing a therapist or a speech on how and why to quit. I think I listened thru the book 3 or 4 whole times before quitting. Also please be kind to yourself, one day of relapse doesn’t erase all the many days before that you stayed off nicotine. I was addicted to nicotine everyday all day for about 9 years. Today I am 457 days off and I will never go back. I know some people have smoked longer than I did but believe me I was so in the grasps of the addiction. If I could do it, so can you. As for the anxiety and depression you must find other ways to self medicate - look up pranayama breathing exercises and try some different exercise or regular walking outdoors. It will take time to train the brain to not want nicotine when sad and anxious. Sorry for the long reply - I am just passionate about people quitting nicotine ! I am still young but it controlled my life for far too long. Best of luck and I’m always happy to reply or talk 😎😜

@@danimarie227 I promise the feeling you get at the end of the week will feel so much better compared to what you would feel getting a hit of nicotine right now. The feeling of sticking it out and proving to yourself that you can do it is one of the greatest feelings in the world. When I had the worst symptoms on my 3rd day, it felt like rock bottom but it actually opened me up to the greatest change. Got off e-cigs. Got off coffee. I quit a week ago. This is the longest I’ve gone without nicotine in 4 years about. This dudes vid didn’t flip the switch but it did have some reasons that helped in the process of staying off the past week. I’ve been scared of the mental and physical withdrawals and I don’t think I’ve made it to a week before, this time though I really meant a switch flipped. This is the one time I’ve quit not planning on ever hitting someone else’s again. This is the first time I really wanted to fully quit. Hope y’all have some luck quitting if you haven’t. It’s like a needle at a doctors office I swear it seems shitty but it’s really not that bad and for not that long. Try quitting for a week.
