So.... those handlebars are still in the same place, you just changed bars. Does anybody know how to actually do what this title claims? How do I actually raise the centre "pipe" that comes out of the bike's frame, so that the handlebars are actually higher away from the frame. For a taller person to not have to ride with a hunched back? How do I raise the bars? I've loosened everything, but it still remains in place...

100% Agreed, really annoying, bugs the hell out of me why people make 'Instructional videos' and then have stupid annoying loud music playing over the narrator's audio... Shaking my head as to why people do this, it's just stupid.

why is everything a ballache today you just use to slacken off a nut and pull the bars up years ago always more attachments required today typical, nothing simple anymore.

Doesn’t really work with these bikes…hardly any length left inside the tube. Same problem I had.

Great video. Thanks for the demonstration. I have a question as I am looking to do something similar with my bike: The stem you had on the bike initially was long, but it also had a good rise. I would have thought that kind of stem would be better for getting a more upright sitting position. Would it not? What would have happened if you kept the stem the same but used the riser handlebar? The reason I am asking is that the stem I have currently is just like the one you put on, and I've been looking into buying a particular stem (Velo Orange Happy Stem) with a rise like the one you had initially. Now I'm thinking that might not be a good idea after watching your video and that I should just get a handlebar with a better rise.
@diymountainbike18 күн бұрын
The rise combined with the length is key.🚴

Does anybody know how to change a flat mountain bike handlebar (huffy-kolo with speed Shift) to a hi-rise handlebar?? To be more precise, i would like watch a tutorial about it. I own a mountain bike but the handle is too uncomfortable for me. Thanks

I'm getting ready to put some higher rise handlebars on my wife's ebike. It seems like the ebike manufacturers aren't understanding who is buying and using their bikes. Cheers🚴😎

This will help. but won't fix the awful old school geometry. Yea that bike definitely does not fit you. I'm glad geometry has come so far.

The stem on my wife's bike came with the bike. I found this one that's probably a close match. www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Handlebars-Suitable-Mountain-31-8x28-6x110mm/dp/B097SQV9MW/ref=sr_1_8?crid=KZP326QSEUM1&keywords=adjustable+angle+bike+stem&qid=1655054674&refinements=p_72%3A1248957011&rnid=1248955011&s=sporting-goods&sprefix=adjustable+angle+bike+stem%2Caps%2C169&sr=1-8
