I have been feeding raw since 2008 yet this is the best explanation for anyone. I feed RMB most of the time. This is a great help for me to improve what I’m doing (which is a lot). I found on the video what I need to do. The issue I have now after the 100% I am not sure what to do for the remaining parts of the nutrients. I have just downloaded the Raw Meal Formulator lets see if it helps. I hope it has growing puppies

I think someone should make like calorie tracking app for rawfeeders😅I also love how i'm educating myself about raw diets for dogs while I have already tried multiple times to get my parents to feed our dogs raw. I have showed them a few of your video's, I have offered to make the meals I have even offered to buy it. But they still don't want it. Hi. First, thank you for the education of feeding raw to my dog. I trust you and use you as one of my main sources of information. I have a large greyhound name Hope. I was recently reminded this breed has special/different needs than other breeds. I feed him the BARF model diet. To your your knowledge, is there anything I should alter for his breed? How often do I give these essential nutrients to my dog? I've been feeding him the PMR diet for about a year now and I am confident to add these nutrients in order to have an overall more balanced diet. I was wondering do I give my dog salmon/sardines everyday? Do I give him cooked mussels everyday? or is it a 3 times a week thing. Thank you I love your videos
@sussybaka551 Жыл бұрын
She has videos that go more in depth on your question. You don't have to be extremely specific, as long as you follow the basics and switch it up every other week or so. Even the minimum raw feeding effort is 98% better than kibble.
@cringesh1t427 Жыл бұрын
From what I gathered you don’t HAVE to give it to them everyday so long as they are meeting their nutritional meals. There are other alternatives you can mix in as well that’ll give them around the same nutrients/mineral. For example her supplements, if you don’t want to buy mussels and oysters constantly you can simply drop in the proper amount of supplements and that’s another raw food you have to worry less about. AND in my opinion will last longer than mussels and oysters, slightly less money being spent month to month

Your tutorials are my bible for feeding my crew (currently at 9 with five of those being rescues looking for homes). I joined a coop and buy in bulk. We calculated the cost and found it to be not much more than quality kibble with moisture add-ons. Still, I find myself watching nine dogs poo since that is my guide for what needs to be tweaked! what we do for the love of dog! :)

The beef and thigh! The neck had a decent amount as well. Technically adding an oyster to this meal would have been beneficial because it would have improved the zinc:copper and zinc:iron ratio, but I didn't want to confuse/overwhelm beginners.

Could you cover something please. Raw meats with the fur. How do I ensure they won't get my pup sick? I know lots of hunters and they will gladly give me bones and meat scrap for my pup. However I see on here what looks to be like legs with fur. How would I wash or prep it properly to do what I can to help kill off worms and such from wild game? Also I am nervous about feeding heads and whole body parts. If I were to feed a rabbit head, do I need to remove the teeth or anything??
@foreverdreaming Жыл бұрын
My pup eats wild rabbits that she catches herself. She is a tiny terrier yet eats almost everything - usually, she only leaves the guts and the top of the skull. Dogs are built to eat raw prey, and as long as the animal they are eating is not poisoned, they will be fine! You don't have to do any prep, just make sure you either feed it fresh or store it frozen.

So $3.20 per day for a little dog or $96 per month. Translating that to my 70 lbs, 8 month old Catahoula puppy puts my monthly cost up around $400. That’s nuts. Do you have a more economical recipe from common grocery store selections? I’m looking at chicken eggs, beef, whole chicken, beef tripe, hog maws, chicken gizzards, hearts, beef liver, hogs feet, head cheese; are all very reasonable and available at the grocery store. Throw in salmon skins from the human table once a week, good to go. Add a small portion of blueberries and veggies (prey gut contents) and a canine nutritional supplement pill now and then to be safe if needed. No? At 2 lbs per day times $2/lb avg, that’s $120 per month. At $3/lb avg, it’s $180/mo.

Awesome video. Appreciate the content as it really lays out the best foods for this type of diet. However, I would argue the focus on micronutrients and vitamins is just unnecessarily complicated. Beginners should just focus on getting the dog correct amounts of protein and bone. All of these micronutrients will still be provided by basic muscle meats. The secreting organs themselves are mostly made up of protein too. You see this same thing a lot with people and from my experience with Carnivore diet, you don’t really need much else besides meat to be healthy.
