@@ironwilltennis Thank you for taking the time to drop a few words. Very kind indeed. Once again thank you so much. You are able to convey so much knowledge within a few minutes with a precise sequencing. I do really appreciate that format. Keep up that great work and all the best to you and your team.

The problem with reactions is the moment you have to think about it you are stuffed, it's gotta be automatic and the only way to get that is to have spent a lot of time practicing the motions. That said, beyond any drill the one thing I find helps me the most is learning to relax - tension kills movement and accurate positioning as your brain says do this, but everything's a bit stuck and it doesn't quite happen. Love the ball reading drills, I know from playing against my coach that the reason he can get to pretty well anything is he reads where the ball is going. It becomes a bit of a tactical battle where I try to trick his anticipation skills get him going the wrong way :)

Thanks, Will! You're right on time with what I'm working on (explosive first step). I'll have to devise some solo drills for myself with these skills in mind. Maybe my ball machine on random and some backboard toss-n-catch. Every little bit helps. ❤

Hey Will, great video lesson as always. Please do a video about different forehand grips. Is it feasible that you alternate during game between eastern forehand and semi western forehand depending on the speed or height of the incoming ball? Or if you want to hit a very powerful ball, is it better to use a semiwestern grip opposed to an eastern forhand grip? Or are these thoughts not good at all, and one should use only 1 grip for every shot.

This is great. I would like to see you do this exercise w/ one of your students at net and have them predict/react to a crosscourt pass or down the line, or the dreaded lob.

Nice video!🎉 I have one thing that always bothers me recently when I played match with my friends. My backhand is one hand backhand, and my friend always like hitting my backhand with one short ball and then one deep ball. Sometimes the ball are too short that I can not even reach it. Even I can, still will be attack on the next round with a deeper ball. Thanks in advance.

How I wish you were doing that with me, I am struggling with ball anticipation, and that cause me to be late. Thanks I will try to watch what watch what the opponent is doing and react accordingly. Thanks 🙏 so much 👏👏👏

Great videos. I noticed you switched rackets from the Yonex Vcore 95 or 98 to the Babolat Pure Strike. What do you think of the Pure Strike?
@ironwilltennis Жыл бұрын
Im liking it so far. I switched mainly because I needed a racquet I could play well with but also switch comfortably between teaching and playing. This racquet fits that job well
