I normally get zero kick in my "kick" serve but it's usually effective because i use it simply as a disguised slower serve that messes up the opponent's timing because they thought a flat serve was coming. I however thought that the reason it didn't kick was because i don't toss the ball over my head...i keep it in front then manipulate my leg drive to get into a position where i can use the kick swing. Having watched this video, i practiced getting the ball to go up more and i got very admirable kick🥳🥳🥳 i also got it to kick both away from and into the body of the opponent 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Cheers bro💪🏾👌🏾

Wow, those serves at the end were very impressive. I really appreciate how clearly and thoroughly you teach everything. I used your other video on slice... the one with the stick in the net and that really helped me visualize what I want to do... even though I'm not as consistent as I want. What I notice with coaches teaching slice is that they never seem to teach the one that swings into the opponent's body... they only teach going out wide. Although you weren't teaching it, I used the greater understanding and control I developed because of your video to jam my opponents and get many free or cheap points. How do you think that this video differs from that other one you did? Meaning, what should I add from this video to what you taught in the other one?

I practiced this yesterday and eventually started getting it to kick closer to shoulder height🎉🎉 I don't like tossing the ball over my head because I prioritize deception of the opponent. But what I was benefiting from was a disguised slower serve that throws off the opponent's swing timing. I didn't realize I could toss the ball into the could as normal but still get decent luck. Thanks again. Your videos help a lot. Keep up the great work👌🏾

It’s interesting you don’t focus or even mention the pronation through contact. Is that due to your views on it not being important or something else? I liked the emphasis of palm down and leading with the elbow. My serve is a Greek tragedy so will try those.
@ironwilltennis6 күн бұрын
@bijano7320 I don't like to overly talk about pronation because most people misunderstand how it works without help. And end up worse

If you ever put together an instructional series this vid should be one of the very first. I wish I’d seen this earlier. For sooo long I thought I just wasn’t putting enough topspin on the ball when it would launch into space or go long (or both) and now I realize I was just playing one stroke for all balls. D’uh! After watching the video above, I at least now can anticipate the on-coming ball via ZONAL approach - in this period of rebuding my game, I don't have to be exact in my positioning to the ball, just be in the right ZONE - again, tQ tQ tQ.

Hey Will, I have great videos! I’ve been sharing them with our college age daughter to help her with her game. Question on this video. I understand stand phase 1 just using your arms and incrementally hitting harder. But phase 2 with core and arms and likewise phase 3 legs, core and arms. Does the core and legs incrementally increase along with the arms or is it that the legs and core about the same intensity 1 through 10 hits and only the arms are actually increasing? I hope my question and description makes some kind of sense? Thanks keep up the great videos, Jeff
