I like what you've done also showing us harmonies for The Beach (Bitch) Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, Toto, etc..... I hope you can find more artists to do more of these, like Bread? CSN? Everly Bros?

I've seen a number of lessons on how to play this song but this one is by far the best. Great song, great lesson, thank you.
@zumacon12 жыл бұрын
One of my favorate Beatles songs. Thank you for taking the timer to put this together in a way that is both easy to understand and true to the original recording. It's the only time machine that exists. I'm a Boomer and grew up with this music.
@seanmcaleavy23696 жыл бұрын
I have known how to play this song for years and then within 10 minutes, you have shown me the rhythmic nuances that I didn't realize I was missing. It now sounds superb! Thank you, sir. I appreciate it.

You are truly a pleasure to watch and listen to. Your love of the guitar and in all its aspects shows in your dedication to detail and your skills as a craftsman are of the highest level. Even though it's not your first language your use of English to describe your lessons is precise and to the point, and your voice is warm and caring . You are indeed a very special person. Live long and prosper.

You are great! The amount of time and effort you put into putting your lessons together and the amount of time you must have spent to research and learn these things yourself and then share it for free... You have my respect admiration and appreciation. I turn to your tutorials first and have been able to enjoy playing many tunes that I thought would have been out of my reach the way they were originally played. Thanks again

The complexity of the music written by these guys is astounding. How they found the chord positions and then milked them for individual notes is just mind boggling.

As usual, exceptional performance and commentary from Galeazzo Frudua, one of the sharpest-eared Beatles experts.

Excellent, detailed tutorial at a good pace. Like many Beatles songs there's more to them than first meets the ear! Thx.
@windlebird111 жыл бұрын
I place the capo from the opposite side of the neck and only across the 5 smallest strings resulting in an automatic "drop D" tuning (or in this case drop E). This gives the guitar the low droning sound of the open E bass string. No need to change any of the chords or picking pattern at all, just throw in the low or fat E string occasionally when appropriate. I think you are talented and appreciate the many videos.
@danielnolton54576 жыл бұрын
Awesome, detailed job, Galeazzo!

Wow. Thanks for these guitar tutorials. I actually learned how to play guitar as a kid from chord books and listening to Beatles records (and some Bob Dylan records). I can play most of the Beatles songs on guitar, but I am always looking on ways to improve!

@subhre10 жыл бұрын
I like the little variations the part where you show how to hit the D chord but bring in the index and middle finger just a few moments later and then again where you do that with the A7 chord, hammering n pulling off with the index and middle at the end of the bridge... Those make all the difference... Great work! Thank you!
@Paul47610 жыл бұрын
It isn't an A7 chord or a D chord. The capo makes them B7 and E. God's sake.
@subhre10 жыл бұрын
Paulthe Modest My bad! Thanks for correcting... : ) I'm just a beginner, but my point was that I liked those variations as against the many other Norwegian Wood videos around.
@jackjohnson21110 жыл бұрын
Paulthe Modest Yeah we all know this because of the capo but THE INSTRUCTOR SAID HE IS GOING TO REFER TO THE CHORDS AS THEY ARE FINGERED. So it makes perfect sense for Roy's comment to reference the chords the same way the instructor is........You need to seriously relax man its music for God's sake......
@GuyNoirxyz11 жыл бұрын
It would have been great to have you in our band back when we played Beatles music when the Beatles were still together!
@Shoeshineidaho11 жыл бұрын
Oh and Xaviers' comment didn't upset (me anyway). It was unbelievable how you added the disclaimer later, to let people know when to start the video for just instruction! Amazing- - being American- - I probably would have just offered to give him his "money" back- - - :-) ! Besides having a beautiful voice, you have an incredible amount of class! I love watching and listening to you! Thank-you!

I'm actually getting this. You were the only one with such a good ear that you get the the two note twang in the two or more places., And then that hammer on or got to the end of the bar when you go back to the D. This I'm having a little trouble with.

Hint, turn your capo around and leave it OFF the 6th string to get the low E drone. I also add my pinky to the 1st string, 7th fret to get a high B drone when possible.

Really nicely done! You covered the syncopation so anyone can grasp it. The best part is validating the second guitar part. I haven't seen anyone even acknowledge it, much less show it. That A Maj7 is actually called an A7. A Maj7 has a G# and A7 a G as you played it (I'm talking chord shapes as if the capo was the nut.) Superb job. Can you do the Sitar part as well. LOL This was the find of the day for me! (maybe even the week) LOL
