When you first start changing and realizing your worth it's uncomfortable but as time goes by you start to see that it is how/what you were supposed to be all along. You're finding your better self. a man telling a woman how to show and reclaim self worth. why can't men accept the fact that women know what they're worth and everything we do is not to attract them but to make us happy. KZbin play music please
@island_girl7 жыл бұрын
Monica Charley reclaiming your worth as a woman doesn't necessarily have to be so that a man can find you worthy, it can sometimes (in my case) be so you can reevaluate your life, all the experiences that you've been going through that have left you in the worst place you have ever been physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, and reminding you that there IS hope. You were amazing once and you WILL be again. It may take you a while, but you WILL find the amazing person you lost deep inside once again. A significant other is a fantastic compliment to your life, but it's not a MUST. Find/reclaim your worth for YOURSELF, not for anyone else. And it doesn't matter if the person that helps or inspires you is male or female, the only thing that matters is that they are able to speak and connect to you. ☺
@island_girl7 жыл бұрын
Monica Charley: Reclaiming your self worth as a woman doesn't necessarily mean you want to attract a man. Sometimes (my case) it means that you are at a point in your life where you have lost your way. That you are feeling the worst you have ever felt physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, and you can't seem to find a way to climb out of that deep hole that seems to suck you in deeper on a daily basis. Having a significant other is an amazing compliment to your life, but it is NOT a necessity. You find/reclaim your self worth for YOURSELF, not for anyone else or it'll defeat the whole purpose of it. And it doesn't matter if the person that inspires you to do it is male or female. The only thing that matters is that they speak and connect to you in a deeper level. ☺

"Take risks that overcome obstacles". Brilliantly concise, & a powerful tool for becoming comfortable in one's skin again.I discovered Bern only a few days ago, but I now hit play on any of his videos when I catch myself "looking backwards', circling that empty hole, the damage, that can never be truly understood, but keeps me from moving forward. It gets smaller, further away each day. And, soon it will be too distant to have any impact on my present, or future.This was a tough one for me, & I'm quite private, but I've gotten so much positive ...rationale...., that I'm compelled to thank him, public forum and all!

Hi, Bern! I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH! Your videos have been a life saver for me! I entered a dating relationship about 9 months ago right after I went through a bad divorce and when I really started caring about this new man in my life (who admits we have an awesome connection), I started feeling very vulnerable and then in turn starting acting like I wasn't worthy of love. I had always heard my Mom tell me to never chase a man and that she always allowed my Dad to come to her. (and he still hasn't gone away and it is has been 43 years this month! haha) So ...The first video of yours I found was "Why you should never chase a man. " When I listened to your video you helped me discover WHY I shouldn't chase a man and how to rediscover my self worth and VALUE. Your advice made me realize that here lately I was trying to make it all happen with the guy I really like because I was unhappy with myself. I was recently out of work, in between careers and not happy with my financial state. I also wasn't being TRUE my own values and what I needed to do to IMPROVE my life. I am now reconnecting to my higher power and my values and want I want out of LIFE. After your video, I realized I had to see my own worth and stop doing all the work for my guy. He wasn't picking up the phone as often and I was missing the way things were when I first met him. When I started pursing him I felt ICKY!!! And I WAS trying to pursue him, but it kept pushing him further away. SO THIS WEEK I made the change! I stopped riding by his house, calling or texting him when I hadn't heard from him for a day or two, and here this past week, GUESS WHAT?? This week HE has called me THREE TIMES to set up dates, and I haven't done a thing except RELAX, and I have worked on making my own life happier: (I am single parent so spending more time with my son, exercising more, attending church, getting a better career) AND WHEN HE did call me the other day I didn't drop everything I was doing to go out with him. And didn't even call him right back and HE called ME back the NEXT day and we set up a date. Made me feel so much better! AH. What a relief. SO I will let you know how this relationship goes. Regardless of how it ends up now I will know that I NEVER ever have to chase a man. THANK YOU and GOd bless you!

Thank you BERN. You are the most honest coach I've ever known. What I learnt from my personal experience as a committed woman that no one on Earth can ever make you happy, be always there for you, love you how you really deserve to be loved more than GOD can, and then more than You can! When you really need someone and when you feel so small, don't be afraid to show your smallness to GOD instead of your loved one. HE will give you worth, strength, and power to stand up again. Knowledge is also power. Learning about YOURSELF instead of just learning about the male mind is really gonna help you through your hard times with your spouse, boyfriend or fiancé. I felt so small recently, but today I decided to be bigger than that. To be a more confident and independent woman. I know I could fall again, but I don't mind as long as I'll stand up again. :(

My politics is important to me, and now I'm finding it harder and harder to stay interested in men who don't care about what is happening in Gaza and Syria, for example. I met a really nice man and when he said he didn't care what was happening in Syria, I felt my heart crack slightly. It's really lonely to live by one's values. I am in the stage where accepting to be alone is still very painful. I can't be with a man without morals or a strong sense of justice. I get invited out a lot, and I'm not interested in fly-by-night affairs. So I've decided to stay single. I feel heartbroken.
@BernMendez8 жыл бұрын
Staying single because it's what you want is a powerful decision, staying single because you feel you can't get what you want, isn't. Get more involved. Being interested in Syria is compassionate but doing volunteer work at an NGO is compassion IN-ACTION and you get the chance to meet like minded humans (many of them men) who might be a better fit for you. xo

This is, by far, one of the most inspiring videos I have seen so far..... and I've seen plenty in the past few months by many different people. 2016 has been the worst year of my life in every aspect imaginable and my life/emotions have been on a steady dive. I've the never felt so much pain/sadness/anger before and its affecting the people I love the most. I hate that. I'm afraid of seeking professional help because when I tried, all they wanted to do was give me pills and that is NOT what I need. Unfortunately, while most of the videos I've seen have been good, they usually leave me feeling worse about myself and that makes me sink deeper into my hole. This was different. Im not sure why I clicked on it, but I'm extremely happy I did. For the first time in a very long while, I feel a little lighter.... with a sense that I can get thru this, and there can be a bright future for me. Thank you, Bernardo! 💖

What I don't understand is why wanting to text a guy more and speak to him more, is seen as not valuing one's worth. When in a relationship, I love a lot of texting and chatting with the guy, because I also like us to be like bested ever friends too. And if he valued my worth and time, he would appreciate that, and not take it for granted and need time and space apart, surely if he does need that when he didn't before, it is time to walk away? I recently split up with a guy. I thought he was a good guy in the beginning, with many of the good guy qualities, wanting to take the lead, listened to me, said he always wanted me to feel special, needed, wanted and loved, said he was crazy about me and never felt this way about anyone before. Said I made him feel good and happy and that I shown him what it was like to love and to be loved. He did move things extremely fast and wanting me to be his girlfriend super quick, which maybe I should have paid more attention to, but as we are both hyper-romantic and I believed he was asexual too, then I know it was rare to find the connection we had and the stuff in common and when he said life is too short, take a risk and that any insecurities or fears that I admitted I had, we would work through together, I thought I had nothing to lose and it is good to push through some fears and boundaries anyway, I do like to grow myself. At that point he very much was making plans for future events and wants to be in nearly all aspects of my life, including helping in my business if he could, as he is disabled in a wheelchair and can't see much so does not work in an employed capacity. But after several conversations about being intimate when were actually going to meet in my city, as he had booked a hotel to come and spend some time with me and we were going to share a bed, without sex as we are both asexual, I told him I was not prepared to get as physical as he has been used to in the past, even without sex that he reiterated he did not want and could not have anyway, then he changed. I had a fear or intuition, that he would come to visit, get intimate and leave me, but I do have past abandonment issues which I have tried to work on and he knew of and said he had too. But from this moment his attitude and behaviour were different with me. He got cold and eventually admitted his mind had changed because he was worried, that I was worried aiut this. We had a long chat and I thought cleared any worries we both had, but if seemed a huge issue for him afterwards. He changed more and was not the person who was crazy and caring about me, but more critical of me and some of the things I like to do and the way I do it, he was no longer appreciating our long video chats and phone calls like he used to, with a smile on his face and I cannot believe how good our relationship is and the special connection we had. He started saying about having time and space apart and for me to spend more time with family and friends, and was trying to make out it was for my own good for the things I needed to get done, but then criticised me for spending a couple of hours doing some shopping on my own that I enjoyed and that I happened to see my cousin at, who I had not seen for years, and I felt I had to justify why I enjoyed it to him and that made me sad as he was not understanding. And he said if we ever did that together, he would just put up with it occasionally. I saw another dating coach who said that a guy should not mind if you ask to see his texts. I never actually asked to do this but just mentioned what the coach said and he seemed to have a problem with it and a couple of days later, out of the blue, he threatened to leave me if I asked him that when he comes to see me, or if I ever ask him that in my life. He said he had nothing to hide and it was about trust, I said you know I have trust issues, that it has only been 4 weeks and you cannot just expect me to trust you, trust is earnt. He said he needed time to think about whether he wanted to be wIth me and that I wad too clingy, despite the fact that before, he had be pursing me and pushing me hard to be with his girlfriend, saying I love you, and messaging me throughout the day, saying he thought about me all day, even when with his mates or watchinhg football, he was crazy about me, smitten with me etc. Immediately I felt controlled by this guy. So after the threat I said I will not be emotionally blackmailed or threatened by anyone and I did not say I agreed with the clingy thing, I just said if you don't like me for who I am then I am ending the relationship, goodbye and good luck with your life, and to me that was valuing my worth more than anything. In my past I stayed with guys who threatened to leave, and threatened me full stop. I was not prepared to waste my life on this guy anymore. The only thing in the back of my mind is I know some advice is to give a guy space, but he never wanted this before I stood my ground about the physical stuff. I believe if any guy threatens to leave a woman if you do x, y, or z, it means he is controlling and if he is deciding whether to still be with you or not, then that creates trust issues, istills fears, devalues that person's worth, and is controlling, it puts all decisions about the relationship, firmly in his hands, like the automatic gear stick in a car, into overdrive and in his hands. I got out of that car as fast as I could, and now regaining my happy single life back again. I actually love being single, just I am super romantic.

This reminded me of last month when my new guy wasn't being grateful so I threaten to leave in the middle of the night if he wouldn't say please and thank you for me preparing and serving him dinner I refused to serve him till he did which he eventually did so I returned after leaving and him txting me and calling me saying please and thank you and saying he didn't say for me to leave

Hi bern ... I love your videos ... I'm 32, dentist by profession, divorced second time, do I still stand any chance in finding love ?? I mean at this age and after 2 divorces ..?
@BernMendez8 жыл бұрын
Fuck YES! 32 is the start of your life. You do need to stop and figure out the root cause of why your marriages have not worked so that you don't repeat the same pattern yet again. Work with someone who can guide you. If a patient of yours needed a root canal you wouldn't advice them to read a book and try to "fix it" on their own, this is NO different. Big hug! -Bern

Bern ... First one was "annulment" and second time he was physically and verbally abusive and never even apologised for this behaviour, so I decided to leave him

Dr. Shikha Nandal I Understand. What I meant was more of why you attracted these men and stayed in relationships with them. Unless the root cause is dealt with from the heart, the possibility of future pain is high. Does this make sense?

Hi! So i have watched a few of your videos and think they are really helpful! I'm going to explain my situation and i really hope you can help me bc i need to act fast! Ok so basically, this guy and i have been friends for a while now (4-5months) and about just over a month ago we started hanging out a lot and we would like hookup, but nothing too serious yet. We would get dinner and do things together a lot and it was very mutual. I could feel that things were good on both of our ends! So then, about a week ago, we started talking a little less. I messaged him like 2 times in a row, which was fine, but he would respond a little, still being joking and friendly, but then eventually he would just stop responding, something he didn't do before. then i asked him to do something after not talking to him for a few days and he said he couldn't because he had a migraine but would let me know. he never did. so then i messaged him asking how he was, he responded, and then i did again, and then he didn't respond again. i asked a good friend of his and of mine what he thought was up (the friend and i have spoken about this guy and i before, so he knows) and he just said to talk to him in person about it. so we haven't spoken now in about 3 days and i'm wondering what i should do. from watching your videos i think i'm just gonna wait it out and let him come to me, but the thing is that my sorority formal is coming up and i want to ask him to it. him and i have spoken a lot about it before, but I haven't officially asked him yet. so do i just forget him completely and ask someone else or do i still ask him? I do want to ask him, so i can't ignore him for too long since it's in a few weeks, but do you think i just move on, or what haha??? thanks :) p.s. i'm in college just so you know our age range ahah

+ThisIsSammIAm Don't do anything. If he's interested in you, he will take action you don't need to remind him or pursue him. If he does not contact you soon then ask someone else to your prom thing :) Your value as a woman is strengthened when you don't waste time with dudes who are not taking you seriously. Hope this helps. love -Bern

Ok, but the thing that just confuses me is I saw him today and we spoke for the first time in those 3 days, and things were like super normal. He was making jokes and being completely normal, I could tell he was making an effort. I know this isn't an excuse, but he is super shy, even his friends said so. And all of his friends said hi to me today and I honestly really want to ask him to the formal

hi bern, thank you so much for sharing all your videos, they all amazing , and love them. thanks for your advices. they changed my mind n my life. i got a question, my bf saw my uniques and love me so much at begining, i thought he was my souldmate, i couldnt stop lovibg him more and more. but i think im over love him now, i put my standards so low to make him happy, he doesnt treasure me like before. what should i do to relaim my value n let him treasure me again? it is weird to change my standards upside down? what happen if he think i just joking or he doesnt care? im waiting for your reply. thanks a lot!

Bern, but what if its the complete opposite and you know your worth and you have it going on? What is the barrier? Or is it the quality of men? Can't figure out the phenomenon.

+Diva Irisa Not sure what to say other than don't set all your energy on a man who is not pursuing you. If he is not yet connecting with you create an opening by being friendly but don't stop connecting to other guys and seeing what else is out there unless this man proves he is worth your exclusive focus. hope this helps xo
