i just plant plants to get away from "reality", the garden is my own world.

I feel you deserve more subs ❤ I'm an author going through what I think is the cynicism stage right now, and am trying to pull myself out of it.

What is that?

omg thank you so much! cynicism really is such a tough stage. whenever i've been in it, it feels akin to depression - you don't feel like you're seeing the world in a healthy or in your normal way. it's really easy to get lost in it. however, i think it's SO good you recognize that this isn't normal for you. and also-congrats on your creative project! i think creatives are particularly vulnerable to burnout. when you're open and ready, i'd love to hear how your work is going!

@@apersonintheworld3Thank you lovely, that's so kind of you. I'm working on pulling myself out of it by slowly introducing self-care habits, like going for walks, healthier foods, regularly scheduled alone-time (really hard to do with 2 young kids though lol) I'm a romcom author, so I try to inject fun and spice into everything I write. I have a book out already called Apparently, I'm A Bitch, and another coming in April called Apparently, I'm Torture. So far, my cynicism hasn't stopped me from enjoying the writing, but it has put a big block on organically marketing my books on social media. I'm trying to find ways to enjoy that process again, but all I want to do is sit in my pjs all day, hair all frizzy, with a bucket of caffeine, and write. Not realistic but it's exactly what I'm doing as I type this message to you lol.
