Hi sir question i have a external mic i also riding a bike i want to hear tha sounds of the engine in my bike what muc gain do i need -6db or -12db?

Epic motorcycle videos? That's simple and relatively cheap: 1. Voice recorder separately from video and synced in post Need one voice recorders that allows gain contro for the mic inside your helmet. 2. Engine sound also separately and synced in post Place the second voice recorder under your pillion seat! 3. Take video with any action camera that is decent (Action 3, Gopro 8 (if it's not freezing) etc) you need decent stabilisation because shaky video is causing headache to viewers! Before rideing, start all your equipment and horn for a few short times for it to appear in the audio timeline. The thing is TO NEVER FORGET to horn for a few times before every ride you start as without it it will be impossible to sync the audio files from each source. Also, after starting all equipment voice loud where you are. It also helps with proper file identification in your editing software. Sound is 80% important as people will forgive a some low quality video if the sound is good, but never the other way! Zoom H1 is the budget recorder you want, or if you want 32bit float go with a Zoom F2 or a Tascam DR-10L Pro. And don't forget about the deadcat (the furr for wind protection) If budget is not problem, then go with the DJI Action 4 and DJI Mic 2 as both can be connected via bluetooth with no wires and it sounds good. The rumors are that the upcoming Action 5 Pro will have something called OsmoAudio beeing able to connect two receivers direclty to the camera.
