Dr. Becky, in my humble little opinion, your video's about achieving healthy weight loss are the absolute best because it isn't just about what we eat and how much of it we eat.......there is so much more to it, and I am so grateful for you that you address every aspect of it!

My wife thought I was crazy when I began my new low carb lifestyle on Nov.1. I did allow myself to eat some of the traditional Thanksgiving dishes with more carbohydrates but next day was back to the new normal. Gave myself 2 days at Christmas. Actually felt horrible after having some Christmas cookies. Seems the sugar was a shock to my system. They made it even easier to go back to my new normal the next day! Down 34 pounds in 3 months. And below 200 for first time in many years. I wrestled in high school at 181lbs and hope to be back at that weight this summer. Regardless I am determined that this lifestyle is permanent.😎

Just when I needed it, Dr. Becky!! Being a caregiver for my husband recently as he tries to recover from a serious illness, I have been comforting myself with every possible sugary treat I can get my hands on. I can tell I feel worse because of it.....achy joints, lack of energy, mood swings....I continue to do it. I so needed your "permission" to be imperfect today and to just "get on the boat and push away from the dock"!! And the reminder to "add as I subtract" was something I needed to hear, too! Thank you! Love to Dr. Keith!!

Perfect timing Dr Becky. I’m just coming off a binge. I’ve unfortunately been here before. Usually takes 2-3 days of eating properly to start feeling better and before adding in exercise. The hardest part for me is sticking with nutrition and exercise. Hard to explain because it makes me feel great and binge eating does exactly the opposite. Thanks for the video.

All I can say is THANK YOU! I am one who has read books and watched videos, but I have failed to apply the knowledge obtained. It is time for me to take action, not just sit and watch videos on how to eat low carb. I have faltered many times but I am ready to stop the binge. You did an awesome job explaining how we binge, and how to stop the binge. THANK YOU!!!

Thanks Dr Becky for sharing this message about binging. Binging is more than just the physical act of eating, it's a soothing mechanism to heal emotional trauma. My sister went through this at a young age, binging then throwing up sugar and junk food. Inner healing is what's required to resolve the binging🤓

After 5 months of LCHF diet + IF, Yesterday I hit exactly 50 lbs lost & want to say Thanks to you & Dr Keith for all the wonderful info & inspiration! Totally relate to this video because last Sunday I took my wife out to eat & we binged by ordering whatever we wanted + chocolate cake for dessert. The next day I had no energy & felt too bad to do any exercise whatsoever. The FitBit app showed that the cake alone was 700 calories. Lesson learned - never again! 🤞

Boy, she is describing my eating life for last 40 yrs. Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting has been a godsend but eventually struggling returned, difficulty controlling portions and dipping into contraband. The big salad with nuts, cheese, olives, mushrooms, etc is the anchor for my body and my mind. Most importantly, watching health videos on KZbin is serving as my emotional anchor, sort of like support meetings. I watch mostly before bed when my cravings are worst. It helps me remember what I really want rather than what I crave.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting and cutting carbs for a year. I eat at noon and 5:00pm. Healthy, mostly keto recipes and foods. I am totally addicted to potato chips. I could live off them I’m sure. I eat one bag every Friday night. I refuse to give up the one food I love. I am down almost 40 pounds and still dropping steadily. I look at it this way, if I can have my bag of chips guilt free and still lose the weight it’s ok. I love your videos btw 😊

Dark chocolate is good for you, if it's at least 80 or 85 percent pure cocoa, and you don't eat more than a recommended serving, or a little less if you're counting calories. If you aren't used to that kind of less sweet chocolate, you'll get to like it after a while. Everything else will start to taste too sweet.

I feel like i just won the lottery of diet channels! That story with the students and your end remarks hit a chord in me. I must say, i think ive watched all of youtubes Dr's , nutritionists, experts, and influencer journeys and tried piecing all the information they gave together to make sense to me , and still came out confused. i couldn't figure out what Macro's were for the life of me, everyone talked about them but simply never explained what they are and how important they are with a calorie deficit. I always thought that only calories mattered, maybe some fat. but that was it. You are outstanding Dr. Becky!! Your words are simple , to the point and encouraging. you hit all the right doubts, questions, concerns , and information. Thank you and i cant wait to start my own journey and feel super hopeful for the first time in years, looking forward to more videos!!!

Doctor Becky as always you are what decency and being a caring human being are about, moderation and above all logical thinking..I know I’m sounding a bit deep with some of the lunacy that has overcome some people, refusing to believe what their eyes and ears are telling them..However I digress , in recovery mode from a bulging L5 disc for the last 5 weeks, painful is a moderate description of what I went through but I’m getting there..I had become a little obsessed with exercise and keeping a tight reign on my weight, lost 25 kilos or about 55 lbs last year and had totally supercharged my health..Sounds a bit over the top but living on one of the best Canary Islands good fresh food was an easy option, but when I slipped the disc I had to curtail my exercise regime because the pain was ferocious at times..Surprisingly I didn’t gain a pound or kilo🥴, this in fact kept me optimistic and now I’m pushing myself a bit more everyday to do more..I credit wonderful people like you for the inspiration you modestly give us 👏👏, thank you so much and I hope your family are in good spirit.

I had to just get over my fears, and do it! All was well. Take care. From OC,CA.
