The only problem is she left out the truth: alcohol and fructose inhibit fatburning and increase storage. While she did mention alcohol, she didn't say why, because then she'd have to confront fructose (fruit and many vegetables, aka carbs.) The reason is because only your liver metabolizes fructose, and from it, your liver creates FAT. As for alcohol, your liver stops doing EVERYTHING to process it, so it gets backlogged, and creates more fat.

Jillian you are the breath of fresh air I NEEDED moving forward in fitness. Subscribed and now i'm off to binge all her content.
Hi Jillian! Good advice, reduce overall body fat to reduce abdominal fat storage. I never understood the belly fat conundrum until I entered menopause at 53. I maintained a 55lb weight loss for 20 years, once my hormones changed, boom, belly fat. What helps is watching cocktail consumption, drinking plenty of water, weight training and circuit training, walking four miles a day, lots of leafy green veggies. Thanks for the great tips!
Intermittent fasting gives your body time to heal. After you heal and hormones are balanced then the weight comes off. I turned 48 last November. I'm not on any hormones, no night sweats. Ridiculous muscle, 4"11 95lbs and full of energy. Intermittent fasting is a lifestyle for me not a diet. Diets don't work. I'm just speaking on what works for me.

Whether you do this with swimming or biking or running etc, it's been shown to be the most optimal. if you add in hit bursts while doing this it's even better. but this doesn't mean you should or have to do this. id recommend it but you can find many different ways to do cardio and still get results.

You don’t want to enhance estrogen as it creates more fat storage in the belly. Avoid foods with soy which increases estrogen, including animals fed soy.

Thanks Jillian!! I've always gained weight in my belly first, and it's interesting to know that hormones are the cause! I am also an avid runner and it hasn't helped. I've kicked up my weight training but will add more!

Fastest and simplest answer: a caloric deficit. There's no escape from that. Hormones and physical activity don't do shit without a healthy nutrition.

Hormones are EVERYTHING

Actually, insulin is a hormone. The ONLY thing that fix "belly fat" is fixing your insulin resistance.
@cytologielu25705 жыл бұрын
@@emh8861 no it isn't. If your hormones are balanced and you eat like shit, well, you know what's gonna happen. But they play a role too not gonna argue, but it is not the main fat loss factor
@cytologielu25705 жыл бұрын
@@petrolene_performancecoach fix your nutrition first. That's going to fix your "belly fat" problem. Stop eating refined carbs and sugars and you won't have insulin problems. Cortisol can be reduced with a good recovery and a low stress level.

Omg JILLIAN! How could I forget where I came from? In 2014 I lost almost 40 pounds on just 3 of her DVD’s. 30 day shred, kickboxing and Ripped in 30. Crazy! Then I thought I was too good for my DVD’s after I joined the gym lol.....

Reducing calorie intake! I’m so glad that’s what she’s saying because too many times all the other fitness gurus make it so complicated by saying things like “You gotta count your macros, increase your protein, make sure you lessen your carbs...blah blah blah.” Just don’t eat so gaddamn much and you won’t be so fat 😊

Appreciate what she does but... I've lost 21lbs in 40 days on keto! I'm 50 and haven't looked like this since I was 30. Just try for 30 days and see.
