Nathan, I've had a couple of very serious dents fixed with the "paintless" dent removal tools and the results were stunning. With all the work you do on these cars, you should check out an inexpensive starter kit. Truly amazing results. As always, love your videos, please keep them coming.

I have been a collision repair tech for 22 years. That top edge of the dent is called a hard line. your not going to have much luck using a suction cup. now me myself have had lots of luck with suction cups when there is no hard line in the dent. It just takes a velvet hammer. paintless dent removers are really good at this craft!

Hello i have done alot of body work too, i even have access to a stud welder and know how to paint, just thought i would just do a quick video on this $3 suction cup but the comments took off and the views went crazy, as the views get close to 200k im thinking about maybe doing a part 2 lol , i never realized that so many people have so much hate these days but i guess they do, thanks for watching the video and yes you are correct these do work on bigger dents .

Pour HOT water on it to soften the metal / plastic. Push it harder before clamping it. There is a difference between testing an object and testing an object to fail. I could pull that dent with duct tape if I really wanted to.
@bribur746 жыл бұрын
The metal in the body of the car was rolled by a machine.... and heated and cooled the metal has memory... If you use a blow torch and keep the flame off of the paint..... and heat the the dent very slowly and get it super hot... without putting the flame to the paint... You can then use a bucket of ice water... and a rag.... heat heat heat heat and then dunk rag in ice water and throw it on to dent and it will contract and return to memory shape

I wondered whether a slightly smaller suction cup might have worked because it would get a better seal - ? The maximum pulling force possible is only fifteen pounds per square inch covered by the cup (atmospheric pressure) presumably. That's not very much and that does look like quite a difficult dent to pull. If it's any consolation I too have had vicious replies to comments I've posted on KZbin. I don't think the sort of people who write stuff like that are worth paying much attention to but I have managed to shut a few of them up. Good wishes, John

You don't need water to make a suction cup stick....if so, you're setting it incorrectly and/or you have a dirty surface. Point being that using liquid does not increase suction force, but rather the opposite. I don't have time to explain the physics.

You have to heat it up otherwise the paint will chip.. don't ask how I know. 😂 then you use that glue on one and keep trying and trying and trying and it will get it out. they give you a little plastic punch. then tap that dent on the edge out. And if it raises it too much use that little plastic punch. Ever so gently just pretend you're saving $200 so spend a couple hours
@paulaliaga12498 жыл бұрын
it would have worked easier or better if you heated it up with a heat gun but it might damage your paint
@nathanwest23048 жыл бұрын
you do realize that he would have to heat it up to about 1000°C(1800°F for you murican folks) in order to affect the metal at wich point that plastic thingy would simply burst in to flames
