This will SOOOOO help me George, I work at the Zoo here in Seattle and you have no idea how many times a great shot at our aviary is ruined by fencing.

What an amazing tutorial, the end result is excellent. The clone stamp is the one tool I really struggle with, I will follow this and have a go, although it will take me many attempts, but will be great practice. Thanks George 😊

You're welcome Anne! I love the Clone Stamp tool, it does take a lot of practice but it is well worth the effort.

Nice training George, enjoyed it very much!!!! A tough subject handled well! Purchased the training course, looking for it to go live soon! Thank you for the deal and also for the Coach! I get stuck often and it is helpful to have a Gurus in my corner at a click of a button!!!! Rich

Thanks Rich! I am really happy with the response to the Coach. I thought it was a good idea but you never know until you produce and release it.

I like how you used the layer mask to select the fence for removal.
@HTGPhoto10 ай бұрын
That makes it real easy, plus you can go in and adjust that layer if needed.

Thanks again George. I am going to become a master image editor when your PSE24 course is released tomorrow.
@HTGPhoto10 ай бұрын
Hi Bent, the release date for the PSE 2024 has been pushed back to April 15th, but many parts of the course will be going live before then. Just putting the finishing touches onto the course now. Sent out an email about that recently, check your spam folder.

@@HTGPhoto Hey George, I know you don't run a support service ... but I am going to try anyway. I just posted the message below in the Elements forum on Adobe's website. Do you have an idea about the problem I present? Or maybe someone else of your followers have a clue? ... and yes, I check my spam folder every day, and haven't seen any message from you. Bent from Norway here. I am a keen user of Photoshop Elements 2024, and follow a lot of training videos on KZbin. In these they use the left or right bracket to increase or decrease the brush size. I have a Norwegian keyboard layout, and the bracket keys don't exist on my keyboard. Do you know whether there is a possibility to assign other keys as shortcuts on my keyboard, for this very useful feature? On my Mac keyboard I can use Option + 8 or 9 to create the brackets, but they won't work as keys to increase or decrease the brush size. I have been advised by an AI to look for the keyboard editor under the Edit-menu, but no such item is present there. The AI also asked me to look for a "Workspaces" item under the window menu, but nope ... it doesn't exist. Is there something I need to download, or doesn't it exist? Best regards, Bent Norway

Hi Bent, just spotted this comment, sorry for the late reply. Don't trust AI for answers about Photoshop Elements, they will always give you answers for Adobe Photoshop. I have looked all over the web and I can't find Norwegian shortcut keys for changing brush sizes. There is no tool in Photoshop Elements allowing you to change the keyboard shortcuts, that is available with Adobe Photoshop , but not the more limited Photoshop Elements. The best I can suggest is to use the same key location on your keyboard, it is the two keys to the right of the P key. Those are the same buttons, even if they don't say the same thing, could work.

@@HTGPhoto A user in the Adobe community gave me this tip. It works wonders: Another way to adjust the Brush Size is to press control+option, left click and drag left or right. To change hardness, drag up or down. For some reason, my comments on KZbin seem to disappear for some time, then reappear. So if this comment comes twice, please look away from one of them.

Thank you George. I have been wanting to know how to do this for a long time. This is the best video I have seen on this subject. It takes time and patience! I appreciate the time you give.

Thanks! The Clone Stamp tool is always my first choice after trying the Content Aware Fill

Years ago, I had one of a wolf at the zoo and I cloned the fence away, but the wolf's fur looked a little like it had been crimped, lol. Sometimes if I have an edge I need, like fur, I copy and paste a section of fur from the opposite side, then I flip it and merge the layer with the original. That always works pretty well for me.

The more tricks you know the better the end result will be. This is basically a clone stamp technique, just speeds things up a bit with the selection trick.

Hi, George Would I be able to "tether" (it would be an HDMI cable) from my DSLR to Photoshop Elements 15 while working on still life w/flash or still life light painting, to give a bigger image than Live View, for composition and lighting setups? Many thanks!
@HTGPhoto9 ай бұрын
No, you can't view live images from a camera in Photoshop Elements. I am sure though that you could use different software to do that, check your camera documentation and support for that on your camera manufacturers website.

Make sure you don't use any feathering on your selection and make sure you select the dog layer before using the content aware fill.
