RB, you're a genius. What would I do with you and @Mike Matrysewicz?

Great tip! Another way I have found is to put a lot of heat on the hosel where the weight is stuck, and then tap it out on a hard surface (my shop has a finished concrete floor that works well). Sometimes you have to tap it out in different directions, but it will come.

Have you ever tried to fill the cavity in the bottom of a Callaway X hot? I melted the rubber plug and can't get one anywhere. I was going to try filling it with epoxy or gasket sealant? Thanks Steve

Hey Ryan, is there any issue with reusing a tip weight that has a slightly larger air hole? Had to use the drill bit method to get it out.

If you torch the tip of the shaft before inserting and spinning it really helps with the stuck ones!

You can try re-inserting the original shaft and try to fit back in flush to ferrile positon and twist a little to catch or grab it. I just did it. Maybe try another shaft also. This should be first step.....if problem persist then continue with instructions on this vid

I have a putter that someone put a steel weight inside the shaft. The shaft broke off at the hosel, and I can't get the steel weight out. Any ideas ??
@ryanbarath19166 жыл бұрын
heat and drill is the best bet. Enough heat should loosen the epoxy bond. After that step drilling the bit should hopefully get it out.

The weight is steel and I can't get a drill bit to get it out. I don't want to heat it and discolor the putter, but I haven't had any luck yet. Is there a special bit that might not slip on the weight ?

I already knew of this technique for irons. Now show us how to do it with an old driver head .335 tip. Hard to find a steel shaft thatll fit lmao

I am looking for the lightest weight head players head or tour head thin narrow sole or moderate sole I had my right arm reattached a lite weight club works best for me I heard some companies make a B weight head and I heard they have women’s heads but almost all of them have fat souls. 39” 7 iron is what i play I am 5-5” tall my right arm is shorter than my left. ladies grip I have small hands ladies shaft 47 gram. Cpm 7 iron 240 yes I use parallel tip to tip trim till I get to 240 I do this because I like the kick at the bottom I could probably go to senior Shaft I know Sergio Garcia back weights between 20 and 30 g on his irons to get the lightweight swing weight but I’m concerned about the overall weight of the club injuring my wrist even more i’ve even contemplated on junior clubs with longer shafts in them. If you live close by maybe even do a video when you’re club build for me my handicap 1.9 I have a US Senior open qualifier coming soon could be good for your show
