Hey hey FWIW you don't need to remove the shift knob! It's a hassle. Instead just remove the leather boot from the shift trim, and pry up from there. That way you don't need to pull the shift panel all the way up or disconnect any wires from it! I've done it countless times =)

I just installed cupholders designed by rendition. I was able to remove the center console without removing the shifter.

Yes due to bolts holding tray to center console are in the bottom
