If you see your image white, It's just an illusion. In the photos app, (or in preview image) The bg appears black or white. This is just a vision bug, because the app doesn't places the bg like white and gray squares. It'll just appear white or black Once you upload it to Discord it should be with no bg.

I just used photoshop express on my iPhone. Used the cutout option, exported as png, and now I have an image with a transparent background.
