If you use conditioner on dry hair first and then rinse, the oils in the conditioner will help break down the pomade.

Yeah very good tip! People also regularly use olive oil too for the same purpose

@@RegalGentleman I would recommend coconut oil too, since it has smaller particles it will go deeper and push out the pomade oils on top. The thing is washing out the olive and coconut afterwards lol. Maybe the conditioner one is better. I will test

I have THICK hair, like a Lion’s Mane, and I worked some pomade in it. Eight, or more, washes later and I STILL couldn’t get it out! Best case scenario, the pomade mixed with the shampoo. So, it still SMELLED good, but it was a pain in the ass! This video helped IMMENSELY! Cheers!

Good tips. I recently bought a product that is extremely sticky in the hair, and I ended up washing it 8 times in the shower with 2 different shampoos....and it wasn't coming out at all. This "dry shampoo", with the follow up wet shampoos got probably 90% of it out to where my hair no longer feels tacky. I had no idea that there was a special way of washing out oil/wax based hair products. Never really ran into this issue before, as they all seemed to wash out just fine with one regular shampooing.

Great advice.. Product sounds good to get that stuff out.. My barber uses something to get all that product out of my hair , not sure what it is .. Some of those 60s products still around like brylcreme .. I went to this one place for haircuts back in the 80s I used quite a bit of product on my hair..the lady cutting my hair was older than my grandmother , must of been pushing 80.. Seemed like an old school grandma beautician. She shampooed me THREE times before cutting my hair.. put a conditioner on it, I sat for 20 minutes in that shampooing chair before she rinsed me out..talk about squeaky clean hair.. and after cutting and drying my hair.. She sprayed it until it crunched .. But did an awesome haircut..

Just use water based pomade when your activity most in indoor. And oil based when in outdoor / using helmet. So you better prepare two types of pomade.

If you use oil based pomades everyday to style your hair, do you also need to use shampoo everyday? I don't know if I should use shampoo everyday because I heard it's really not good for the hair but if I don't use them, I feel like I my hair's still gonna be dirty if I only wash it with water alone plus I libe in a tropical country where the humidity is crazy. Any tips there gents?
@alcalc74285 жыл бұрын
@Saddam Hussein thanks for the tips but as for your advice if I use the pomade everyday, do I also need to condition or shampoo my hair everyday? Well I'll just finish off my oil based pomade. I'll buy water-based ones after I finish this current pomade I'm using.

Best thing to do in yours and others cases when you use Brylcream, Wildroot, or Groom and Clean or any other men's hair dressing, is to use only a small application of the product once, maybe twice a week and wash your hair every other day. Using these products leave a small amount of residue left in your hair so when after washing, you can comb or brush your hair out and either let it dry by itself, or use your hair dryer for a few minunites and allow the rest of your hair dry naturally. You'll find out that that's the very best way to groom as well as train your hair, and you won't look like a greeseed up kid with greesy kid stuff in your hair. Try that, and you'll see the differance, and your hair will look clean and well groomed, and behave the way you want it to behave.

Stop being a weenie. It’s meant to stay on the hair. It literally wears off on its own after 2 days of not applying :)
