Omg THANK YOU! I had the same problem. Something spilled and got under the glass. I couldn’t figure out how to get the glass out to clean it. Finally gave up and bought a silicone liner to cover it up, however, I knew what was underneath and it bothered me to no end. I looked through the manual and wasn’t able to find anything on how to do it, so I figured KZbin has come to my rescue in the past, so why not search and see if I could find a solution there. I just want to say thank you because when I tell you, I’ve been trying to take those damn shelves off for the past three years without success and it’s been driving me nuts because it seems like when you can’t remove something everything wants to get up under there! I was able to get this off and bleach the heck out of my fridge and all the little nooks and crannies I couldn’t get to before!!! I’m so so grateful. If anyone has trouble getting the shelf to snap back into place at the end, it might be because it’s not pushed back all the way towards the back of the fridge. Took me about 20 minutes, but it’s perfect now.!!!! ❤❤❤

I have the large 31 cu ft fridge and it looks exactly like this. My son, a culinary student wanted to cook for us one night and placed meats in the fridge; which somehow bled all over the glass and even under this glass. 😅 Thank you for this video, the pdf instructions were vague and I was pressing on the clips in the wrong spot. So even when I removed the tabs the glass still wouldn't come off. I ran hot water over the glass, and it finally came apart (without breaking!) This was just what the doctor ordered. The user manual was absolutely no help. I'm so glad that I was cautious enough to stop trying to pry off those tabs on top and look for help on KZbin. Even when I found a video that told about squeezing together the tabs up front to remove the tray, it was not clear exactly where to press on those tabs, and it seemed like it just wasn't working. I kept looking and found this video, which cleared that up beautifully, and I was able to get it out without destroying anything. Thanks!

Great step by step instructions. To secure the back edge of the glass BEFORE you turn the shelf upside down to remove the corner clips, you can apply a couple short pieces of masking tape to hold the glass in place while you flip it back right side up!

Finding the right place to push the tabs in to get the shelf to release was the biggest problem. Kept pushing on what we thought were the tabs but they didn't budge at all. Finally, they broke off and then we realized (from your video) that it was the part under those tabs that you push in. Then it was a real bear to get the shelf out and put back in because the doors just didn't open quite far enough. Hope I never have to do that again!

We got the clips off thanks to this video and just left them off. Once the Fridge has safely been shipped to your house, there is ABSOLUTELY no need for those clips. Gravity is keeping the shelf in-place you idiot design engineers! Not many times does our Fridge get turned upside-down where the glass needs to be secured! This refrigerator has been unnecessarily designed for the International Space Station!

The clips are totally unnecessary. I left them off after cleaning the glass. There's this new discovery called GRAVITY that will keep the glass in place, that the Samsung engineers were apparently unaware of :).

Oh my gosh thank you! I have had to do all my home repairs and such for years, but these silly plastic refrigerators and other Home Appliances baffle the crap out of me. I tear my refrigerator apart to clean it but there are areas that I just can't get totally clean so today I just looked up how to move my refrigerator because it's just me and your video popped up. Then I saw you had done something else about cleaning the dang glass shelves, Eureka someone who has accomplished something that I needed to know😊. Thanks for this video. Very helpful. I used hairdryer to heat the tabs slightly to pinch them in and release the bottom shelf. I removed glass and asked hubby to remove all 3 tabs. My GE refrigerator glass shelf simply lays inside the frame. Never had a problem. I took these steps to make it easier to clean next time.

Thanks for a great video. This was much more complicated than it needed to be because of the way it was designed and assembled, and you saved the day. Here my suggestion. Next time, leave out the rear clips. Unless you expect your refrigerator to jump up and down, that glass will never move without being pushed from beneath. So next cleaning without the clips, just lift the glass at the back, slide it back an inch then remove. Simple.

This has helped me twice now. Thanks so much for this. The only thing I did differently was to put the shelf back in the fridge (without latching it) without the glass in yet. That allowed it to flex more so it was easier to get back in. I was then going to put the clips back in, but decided against it as removing the frame from the fridge with the glass in was the hardest part.
